Assistance Animal Policy. The City shall ensure that the Rental Occupancy Policy incorporates an Assistance Animal Policy addressing the right of applicants/residents with disabilities to have Assistance Animals as a Reasonable Accommodation as set out in HUD’s Notice on Service Animals and Assistance Animals for People with Disabilities in Housing and HUD-Funded Programs. This policy shall, at a minimum, incorporate the following provisions: (1) the definition of the term Assistance Animal as set out in this Agreement, (2) equal recognition will be given to service animals and Assistance Animals that are not trained, including emotional support animals; (2) the policy will contain no weight and/or breed restrictions; and (3) no deposit, nor any fee shall be charged in connection with an Assistance Animal.

Assistance Animal Policy a. HACP’s proposed, amended ACOP, referenced in Paragraph IV.
