Assistance in Discipline. Since the teacher’s authority and effectiveness in his/her classroom is undermined when students discover that there is insufficient administrative backing and support of the teacher, the Board recognizes its responsibility to give all reasonable support and assistance to teachers with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline in the classroom. The Board further recognizes that the teacher may not fairly be expected to assume the role of custodian for emotionally disturbed students, nor to be charged with the responsibility for psychotherapy. Whenever it appears to the teacher and/or principal that a particular pupil requires the attention of special counselors, social workers, law enforcement personnel, physicians, or other professional persons and those persons make recommendations regarding that pupil, the Board will take reasonable steps to relieve the teacher of responsibilities with respect to such a pupil.

  • Enforce Discipline Contractor shall at all times enforce strict discipline and good order among its employees, Subcontractors, and others performing the Work, and shall not employ or permit the employment of unfit persons or persons not skilled in the task assigned to them.
