ASSISTANT DESIGNERS. The Assistant Designer shall assist and support the Designer in the work of the Designer. A. Assistants to the Scenic, Costume, Lighting, Sound or Projection Designer (also referred to as “Assistants” herein) shall be engaged by the Employer at the request of the Designer subject to the approval of the Employer. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Said Assistant’s terms and conditions of employment shall be governed by this Agreement. B. A separate Cover Sheet must be filed with and approved by the Union for each Assistant. Employer will make salary payment directly to the Assistant(s) each and every week for which they have been contracted and worked. C. It is understood that Assistant’s work week is five (5) days. The sixth day, if worked, will be prorated at one fifth (1/5) of their weekly salary. It is understood that a “company day off” (seventh day) will be granted to the Assistant. If required to work on the “company day off” (seventh day), the Assistant will be paid two-fifths (2/5) of their weekly salary for the seventh day. D. The Assistant shall not be required to perform the work of the production staff. E. A Designer may authorize an Assistant to coordinate preliminary work or additional work after the termination date if the Designer is not available. For a revival or remount, an Assistant may substitute for the Designer to coordinate the remounting of the design at the Employer’s theatre or approve minor adaptation of the design as required at a new venue. This provision is subject to the Employer’s approval and will not be unreasonably withheld.

ASSISTANT DESIGNERS. The Assistant Designer shall assist and support the Designer in the work of the Designer.
ASSISTANT DESIGNERS. A. If the Theatre and the Designer have agreed that the services of a Non-staff Assistant Designer are required, Theatre and the Designer shall agree on Designer’s compensation. At the Designer’s request, the Theatre shall arrange with the University/Resident Theatre Association to be the employer of record for the purpose of compensating the Non-staff Assistant Designer. B. The payments by the Theatre to U/RTA shall be sufficient to cover contributions in an amount equal to 21.25% of earnings to the United Scenic Artists Pension and Welfare Fund, increasing by .25% in each subsequent year of this Agreement. The amount shall be distributed 12% to the United Scenic Artists Welfare Fund for the term of this Agreement. The Pension rate contribution to the United Scenic Artists Pension Fund for each year is below: As of As of As of As of As of 9.25% 9.50% 9.75% 10.00% 10.25% The contributed amount shall be in addition to any service charges or fees required by U/RTA. C. In the event that LORT is unable to reach agreement with U/RTA to provide the above payroll services, LORT may elect to utilize another payroll entity to provide them, subject to the consent of the Union, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. D. Subject to the provisions of applicable law, each Non-staff Assistant Designer subject to this section shall be required to make application to join the Union upon Designer’s engagement for a fourth such service. The foregoing Union Security provision shall not apply to matriculated students. This provision shall not apply to A+ Stages, which are governed by a separate Addendum between the parties.

  • Treasurer; Assistant Treasurer The Treasurer shall be the chief financial and accounting officer of the Trust, and shall, subject to the provisions of the Declaration of Trust and to any arrangement made by the Trustees with a custodian, investment adviser, sub-adviser or manager, or transfer, shareholder servicing or similar agent, be in charge of the valuable papers, books of account and accounting records of the Trust, and shall have such other duties and powers as may be designated from time to time by the Trustees or by the President. Any Assistant Treasurer shall have such duties and powers as may be designated from time to time by the Trustees or the President.

  • Assistant Treasurers The Assistant Treasurers will, in the absence or disability of the Treasurer, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the Treasurer and will perform such other duties and have such other powers as the Board of Managers may from time to time prescribe.

  • Secretaries The regular work year for secretaries will range from 200 days to 220 days exclusive of holidays, and each secretary will be assigned to one of the following work schedules. Distinction between Administrative Secretary and Office Secretary is used to determine length of work year.

  • Vice Presidents The Vice Presidents will, subject to the control of the Member, perform such duties as may be assigned to them by the President and will have the general powers and duties usually vested in the office of vice president of corporations, and will have such other powers and duties as may be prescribed by the Member. In the case of the death, disability or absence of the President, a Vice President shall perform and be vested with all the duties and powers of the President until the Member appoints a new President.

  • Assistant Professor An Assistant Professor is a member of a Faculty of the University who shall ordinarily have the following minimum qualifications: (a) A doctoral degree; (b) Aptitude for teaching university students. The doctoral requirement may be waived if the Candidate has a record of suitable teaching, scholarship as defined in Article 1.1(n); or, in lieu of such a record, has professional qualifications and experience to enable him/her to make an appropriate academic contribution to the University.

  • Treasurer and Assistant Treasurers The Board, in its discretion, may elect a Treasurer and one or more Assistant Treasurers. The Treasurer shall keep or cause to be kept the books of account of the Company and shall render statements of the financial affairs of the Company in such form and as often as required by this Agreement, the Board or a President. The Treasurer, subject to the order of the Board, shall have the custody of all funds and securities of the Company. The Treasurer shall perform all other duties commonly incident to his office and shall perform such other duties and have such other powers as this Agreement, the Board or a President, shall designate from time to time. The Assistant Treasurers shall exercise the power of the Treasurer during that Officer’s absence or inability or refusal to act. Each of the Assistant Treasurers shall possess the same power as the Treasurer to sign all certificates, contracts, obligations and other instruments of the Company. If no Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer is appointed and serving or in the absence of the appointed Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, a President or such other Officer as the Board shall select, shall have the powers and duties conferred upon the Treasurer.
