The PRODUCTION STAFF clause defines the roles, responsibilities, and requirements for personnel involved in the production process under the agreement. PRODUCTION STAFF. The Employer will supply one clean uniform for each shift at the Employer's expense.
PRODUCTION STAFF. Employer shall not utilize casting, development, or production staff as Performers in any Program on which they also render any services other than as a Performer without the express consent of SAG-AFTRA. SAG-AFTRA shall give reasonable consideration to the Employer’s good faith request for waivers to accommodate their legitimate production necessities. The following are exceptions to the above: ● Animal handlers (appearing in a scene in which they handle animals); ● Actor/directors, actor/writers, or actor/developer engaged as such by written contract prior to commencing work; ● An emergency in the production which requires immediate response; a situation in which a member of the cast cannot perform or fails to report for work ready, willing and able to perform the services for which they were engaged. If Producer violates this section, it shall pay liquidated damages in the following amounts: ● Day Performer $300.00 ● Three-Day Performer $400.00 ● Weekly Performer $600.00
PRODUCTION STAFF. The term Production Staff or Production Staff Member refers to and is inclusive of all ARTISTS classified as STAGE MANAGERS, ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS, and ASSISTANT DIRECTORS.
PRODUCTION STAFF. The following persons shall not be employed as principal performers with respect to the production of any commercial: persons on the payroll of the advertising agency; staff or crew of the production company; or any person involved in the casting process. This provision shall not be applicable (i) to animal handlers (appearing in a scene in which they handle animals), (ii) to actor/directors, actor/writers, or actor/producers, or singers engaged in similar activity, (iii) in emergencies on location and in studios. Producer shall pay to the Union, as liquidated damages, an amount equivalent to the minimum applicable session fee for each commercial for which such person is employed during a single engagement, up to a maximum of two such session fees.
PRODUCTION STAFF. Production Staff may be required to work up to fifty-three (53) hours per week. Overtime shall be paid to Production Staff for hours of Artist rehearsals in excess of forty-two (42) hours in a week. The call for a Production Staff Member shall be one-half (1/2) hour before his first rehearsal of the day. A Production Staff Member’s dismissal shall be one-half (1/2) hour after his final rehearsal of the day. Due to the nature of Production Staff duties, it is not always possible for the Stage Manager and/or Assistant Stage Manager to take rest breaks at the same time as other Artists. A violation of the Stage Manager’s or Assistant Stage Manager's break period(s) shall be paid for at the overtime rate.
PRODUCTION STAFF. A. Persons employed as members of Producer's casting or production staff will neither be engaged nor utilized as performers in any pictures on which they also render any services on Producer's casting or production staff without the express consent of the Union.‌ B. The only exceptions shall be the following: (1) animal handlers (appearing in a scene in which they handle animals); (2) performer/directors, performer/writers, or performer/producers engaged in written contract as such prior to the commencement of principal photography of a motion picture; (3) in an "emergency" on location. "Emergency" is defined as a situation, on location, in which a member of the cast cannot perform because of unavailability for any reason.
PRODUCTION STAFF. All Rates in Paragraph 27(c) Production Staff shall be increased at the following percentage rates: September 1, 2007- August 31, 2008; 10% September 1, 2008- August 31, 2009; 3% September 1, 2009- August 31, 2010; 3% Paragraph 27(c)(3)(A )shall be modified to read: For Production Staff members working for Management beyond the fifty-five (55) mile radius of the Production Staff member’s domicile and contracted for eight (8) or fewer weeks per season shall receive the daily meal per diem amounts defined below: September 1, 2007- August 31, 2008; $16.50 September 1, 2008- August 31, 2009; $17.00 September 1, 2009- August 31, 2010; $17.50 Paragraph 27(c)(3)(B) shall be modified to read: Housing for all other Production Staff members working for management beyond the fifty five (55) mile radius of the Production Staff member’s domicile and contracted for eight (8) or fewer weeks per season shall be provided at no cost to the member. If no-cost housing is not provided a minimum weekly housing allowance as follows shall be provided: September 1, 2007- August 31, 2008; $385.00 September 1, 2008- August 31, 2009; $396.55 September 1, 2009- August 31, 2010; $408.45 Two (2) weeks prior to the first week of work, when no-cost housing is not provided, Management will furnish the member with accommodations of different price ranges to the Production Staff member. Within one (1) week thereafter, the member shall indicate his/her acceptance of his/her preference to arrange for accommodations. PRODUCTION STAFF. The hours for production staff involve four days per week, 9 ordinary paid hours per day. (36 hour week) The employees must work ordinary hours between 5.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday as set by the employer. The week will be an average of 36 hours per week averaged over a two-week period. The four days of each week will be set by the employer. The 4 day week does not necessarily mean that all employees have a 3 day weekend, or the same day off each week.
