Battelle Craft Alignment Program. (CAP)‌ The Craft Alignment Program will continue in full force and effect from this date, and henceforth on an annual basis from year-to-year without requiring an annual review process. However, either of the parties may request in writing, that a formal review of the program be conducted during August of any given year. If during this review process, either party cancels the program, the negotiated wage Progression Schedule will be amended to reflect a two (2%) percent decrease to each staff member’s paid wage rate. If requested by either party, details of the program cancellation and wage rate decrease, if any, shall be addressed by the Ad Hoc Committee pursuant to Section 9 described herein. Safety is foremost in the performance of all work. All staff members are encouraged to think, act and perform their assigned tasks giving the highest priority to safety. The Battelle CAP is intended to allow greater flexibility and therefore more effective and efficient use of the workforce. Bargaining Unit staff members will be assigned to augment the work effort and assist the classification which performs the main work effort, which involves crossing traditional lines of jurisdiction, consistent with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. In making these assignments, the following parameters will be followed:
