Work Effort. This Agreement shall describe: a) the terms and conditions under which Compaq shall have the right and obligation to distribute the Licensed Product and Compaq's marketing obligations in connection with the distribution of the Licensed Products, b) the license terms by which such distribution rights are granted, c) the parties' obligations as they relate to the development, testing and integration of the Licensed Product to allow the Licensed Product to be bundled or shipped with the Products shipped during the term of this Agreement (the Products which are shipped with or which incorporate the Licensed Product pursuant to this Agreement are referred to herein as the "Combined Products"), and d) Compaq's ability to designate an initial start page from Alta Vista solely for the Compaq enduser who uses the Licensed Product on the Combined Products.

Work Effort. The Union recognizes that the City must strive to provide the citizens of Oakland with the best possible services within the available resources. The City and Union jointly recognize the responsibility of each employee of the City to perform productively in order to provide citizens with specified services at specified levels. The Union agrees to actively participate in the encouragement of all employees represented by the Union to work cooperatively with management and supervisory employees to attain maximum productivity by the employees and work groups to which they are assigned. It is understood that the City will continue to encourage the development of supervisory skills and the fostering of improved interpersonal relationships between management and unit members through a training and development program.

To that end, the Union will actively encourage all unit members to participate in City training, education, and development offerings insofar as training offerings are conducive to harmonious employer-employee relations. It is understood that the City will continue to encourage the development of supervisory skills and the fostering of improved interpersonal relationships between management and unit members through a training and development program. The Union will continue to encourage all of its unit members to support the City’s goals of reducing crime, improving public schools, revitalizing the downtown area, and supporting cultural arts. Toward that end, all unit members will be encouraged to volunteer during off duty hours for activities in support of these goals, such as mentoring a school age child or participating in literacy programs.
Work Effort. The Contractor shall provide the necessary personnel, material, services, and facilities, to manufacture, test and deliver On-Orbit/Checked Out or to Ground Storage as specified in Sub-Article 3.3, four (4) complete Spacecraft in accordance with the Satellite Performance Specification, Exhibit B to this Contract, and perform the services described in Exhibit A, Statement of Work, (except those items of hardware and services listed as "optional," unless such options are exercised by the Purchaser in accordance with the terms of this Contract), to the extent specified in this Contract, and to perform the work required hereunder in accordance with the Exhibits listed below, which are attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference: 2.1.1 Exhibit A - Statement of Work (SOW) Revision 5, dated 21 July 1998, SS/L-TP93002-02 2.1.2 Exhibit B - Satellite Performance Specification, Revision 9, dated 21 July 1998, SS/L-TP93002-03 2.1.3 Exhibit C - Product Assurance Program Plan, Revision 2, dated 14 January 1997, SS/L-TP93002-04 2.1.4 Exhibit D - Test Plan, Revision 3C, dated 21 July 1998, SS/L-TP93002-05 2.1.1 Exhibit E - Dynamic Simulator Specification dated 21 July 1998, SS/L-TP93002-06 The Contractor acknowledges that the Test Plan, Exhibit D, which is attached to this Contract has not yet been modified to reflect, among other things, the modifications that the Contractor and the Purchaser agree are required as a result of the changes in the Statement of Work, Exhibit B, and the on-orbit delivery required by this Contract. The Contractor and the Purchaser agree to negotiate in good-faith a mutually acceptable revision of such Exhibit D. The Contractor agrees that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Contract, the Purchaser shall not be required to pay a $4,000,000 portion of payment 17A listed on Attachment A to this Contract until such time as a revision to Exhibit D has been (i) delivered to the Purchaser, (ii) agreed upon by the Purchaser and the Contractor and (iii) incorporated into this Contract by a written amendment to this Contract executed by both the Purchaser and the Contractor. Use or disclosure of the data contained on this page is subject to the restriction on the title page of this Contract.
Work Effort. It will be the understanding at the Highland Park facility that employment will be based on the principle of, “a fair day's work for a fair day's pay", with the consideration for fatigue and the need for relief time. If the Union Committee, after consultation with the Company, believes that the Company is not living up to this principle with respect to expected work effort, upon request by the Union, the UAW International Industrial Engineers will be allowed to review the particular work area with a Company representative. If after that review, the Company and the UAW Industrial Engineers cannot come to an agreement on reasonable work effort, the matter can be submitted to the dispute resolution procedure for resolution.

Work Effort. PeopleDoc will be entitled to charge Customer at its standard man day rate for cooperating with any such audits and for preparing responses to any vendor security questionnaires requested by Customer.

If there is a conflict or discrepancy between the RFP and the Proposal, then the terms, conditions and provisions of the RFP shall control, prevail, and supersede the terms and conditions of the Proposal. B. The Consultant agrees to comply with all applicable Federal, State and local laws in the conduct of the work hereunder.
