Bereavement Leave and Compassionate Leave. 9.5.1 In the case of death in the immediate family, the Employee shall be entitled to leave with pay for five (5) working days provided the Employee has notified the Manager. Immediate family shall mean husband, wife, child, brother, sister, parent, parent-in-law, a common- law spouse or child living in the same household, any other relative living in the same household, or any other person with the written approval of the Manager.
