Blank Day. In a roster that operates from Sunday to Saturday there may be one or more Working Lines to show what shifts are to be worked in a particular week. As there are restrictions on the number of shifts an employee can perform in a week the days on which there are no shifts, other than a PDO, are referred to as or Blank Days. 11 a). Where an employee is rostered to work on a Blank Day (as shown on the Master Xxxxxx) and an alternate Blank Day is not shown prior to the roster being posted, the shift rostered on the Blank Day is to be highlighted as the overtime shift and paid in accordance with subclauses 3.3.3 c) or 3.3.3 d).

Employee’s must be advised in accordance with subclause 3.2. 11 a). Where an employee is rostered to work on a Blank Day (as shown on the Master Roster) and an alternate Blank Day is not shown prior to the roster being posted, the shift rostered on the Blank Day is to be highlighted as the overtime shift and paid in accordance with subclauses 3.3.3 c) or 3.3.3 d).
Blank Day. 39.1 Virgin Australia may roster or assign you a Blank Day on a day that you are unable to be rostered or Assigned a Duty in accordance with this Agreement. 39.2 Virgin Australia will not assign a duty on a Blank Day except in the case of Disruption or to accommodate trip swaps. Where a rostered Duty is completely removed due to sickness, Fatigue, or Disruption, the original date of the Blank Day may be replaced with an Open or Standby Duty and utilised in accordance with this Agreement. Where this occurs, this will be notified in advance of the Blank Day. 39.3 Virgin Australia may contact you on a Blank Day to notify you of a future change of duty. 39.4 You are not required to be immediately contactable on a Blank Day. Where a message is left, you must call back as soon as possible, no later than 1700 hours Home Base local time (unless it is part of your minimum Rest Period).

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Christmas Day Melbourne Cup Day (or alternative days in regional areas);

  • Boxing Day If another Federal, Provincial or Municipal holiday should be proclaimed during the term of this Agreement, such additional proclaimed holiday will replace one of the above-named holidays as agreed by the parties. The intent is that there will be no more than twelve (12) paid holidays per calendar year for the duration of this agreement.

  • Day Unless otherwise stated, reference to the terms "day," "days," "month," or "months" mean calendar day, calendar days, calendar month, and calendar months, respectively.

  • Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • School Day The school day for members of the bargaining unit shall not exceed seven and one-half (7½) hours of consecutive time which shall include a duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period of no less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Monday morning The employee should not work more than 16 hours without an 8 hour break.
