Blindness. I. Total, permanent and irreversible loss of all vision in both eyes as a result of illness or accident.
II. The Blindness is evidenced by:
i. corrected visual acuity being 3/60 or less in both eyes or ;
ii. the field of vision being less than 10 degrees in both eyes.
III. The diagnosis of blindness must be confirmed and must not be correctable by aids or surgical procedure.
Blindness i. Consultation Paper stating the presenting complaints with duration, past medical history with duration, treatment and medication advised.
ii. Medical Report: Visual acuity test, field of vision test
iii. Ophthalmologist prescription certifying the diagnosis with exact cause.
iv. Any other documents as may be required by Us.
Blindness. Major Head Trauma The Critical Illnesses and the conditions applicable to the same are more particularly described below:
Blindness. All loss settlements made by the Company provided they are within the terms of the Company's original policies and of this Agreement, shall be unconditionally binding upon Reinsurer and amounts falling to the share of the Reinsurer shall be payable to the Company in accordance with the provisions set forth in paragraph C. of the Reports and Remittances Article.
Blindness. Total permanent and irreversible loss of all sight in both eyes.
Blindness. A definite diagnosis for total and irreversible loss of vision in both eyes, evidenced by: • the corrected visual acuity being 20/200 or less in both eyes; or • the field of vision being less than 20 degrees in both eyes. A definite diagnosis of an acute cerebrovascular event caused by intra-cranial thrombosis, haemorrhage, or embolism with: • acute onset of new neurological symptoms; and • new objective neurological deficits on clinical examination, persisting continuously for more than 30 days following the date of diagnosis. These new symptoms and deficits must be corroborated by diagnostic imaging testing showing changes that are consistent in character, location and timing with the new neurological deficits. For the purposes of this insurance coverage, neurological deficits must be detectable by a specialist and may include, but are not restricted to, measurable loss of hearing, measurable loss of vision, measurable changes in neuro- cognitive function, objective loss of sensation, paralysis, localized weakness, dysarthria (difficulty with pronunciation), dysphasia (difficulty with speech), dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), impaired gait (difficulty walking), difficulty with balance, lack of coordination or new-onset seizures undergoing treatment.
Blindness. Xxxxx - involving over 10% of body with third degree or 30% of body with second degree;
Blindness. Burns - involving over 10% of body with third degree or 30% of body with second degree;
Blindness. Dread Disease description The total, permanent and irreversible loss of sight in both eyes as a result of sickness or disease. Vision measured at 3/60 or worse in the better eye using a Snellen eye chart. No further exclusions apply.
Blindness. Amputation of a significant portion of limb(s);
