Common use of Call Backs on Public Holidays Clause in Contracts

Call Backs on Public Holidays. If an employee is called back or called into work on a public holiday, the employee will be paid for the hours worked at the applicable public holiday rate and will be paid for the balance of the day (up to a total of 8 hours) at ordinary rates. An alternative day of paid leave will be provided for those instances when one has not already been accrued.
