Common use of Carryover of Earned Vacation Clause in Contracts

Carryover of Earned Vacation. Employees must take vacation earned in one vacation year before the conclusion of the following vacation year. In exceptional circumstances, and with the written approval of the appropriate Vice-President, an employee may carry over vacation leave earned in one vacation year beyond June 30 of the following vacation year. A copy of this approval must be provided to the Human Resources Department before June 30 of that following vacation year.
