Changes in Work Schedules. (a) Where an employee has been scheduled for a shift and not received a forty- eight (48) hour notice of change, he/she will be provided with work and/or pay for all hours scheduled. (b) In emergency situations where an employee has not been provided with a notice of change in his/her work schedule, the employee shall be provided with pay as follows: (i) 2 hours pay if the employee has not reported for work; (ii) 4 hours work or pay if the employee reports for work. (c) Employees who become aware that they are not going to be able to report for work as scheduled, are obligated to provide the Employer with notice at the earliest possible time, or to have someone else notify the Employer on their behalf, to allow the Employer time to cover the absence. (d) Employees whose schedules are changed, without the advance notice specified, cannot be disciplined if they advise that they cannot comply with the changed starting and finishing times for the first shift of the new schedule. c) Employees may exchange shifts recognizing senioritywho become aware that they are not going to be able to report for work as scheduled are obligated to provide the Employer with notice, or to have someone else notify the Employer on their behalf, at least four (4) hours prior to their scheduled reporting time, or as soon after that time that is possible in the circumstances, to allow the Employer time to cover the absence.
d) In situations where an employee has not been provided with prior authorization notice of a change in her work schedule, and the employee reports as scheduled before the change the employee shall be provided with work and/or pay for all hours she was scheduled to work, unless the employee is unfit to perform her duties or she has failed to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations of the Employer and the Employer shall not unreasonably withhold authorizationWorkers’ Compensation Board.
(ii) There shall be no increased cost to the Employer should employees exchange a shift with written authorization signed first by the Shop Xxxxxxx and then the Supervisor.
(iii) Once the Employee has received authorization to exchange a shift, or shifts, there shall be no grievances filed as a result of an authorized and agreed to shift change.

(i) Employees may exchange shifts recognizing seniority, two (2) hours' pay unless the employee is unfit to perform his duties or he has failed to comply with prior authorization the Industrial Health and Safety Regulations of the Employer and the Employer shall not unreasonably withhold authorization.Workers' Compensation Board, or
(ii) There shall be no increased cost to where the Employer should employees exchange a shift with written authorization signed first by employee commences work, four (4) hours work and/or pay unless his work is suspended because of inclement weather or other reasons completely beyond the Shop Xxxxxxx and then control of the SupervisorEmployer, in which case Paragraph (i) above applies.
(iiig) Once the Employee has received authorization In any emergency situation covered by Paragraph (b) of this Article 9.13, where an employee who was scheduled to exchange a work, fails to report for his shift, or shifts, there the Employer shall be no grievances filed as a result of required to offer the vacant shift to the most senior employee who was not already scheduled to work on the day in question, and is able and willing to work the shift without the Employer having to incur an authorized and agreed to shift changeovertime or other penalty.
