Circuit Court Employees Only. Original appointment to any position shall be made at the entrance rate of the classification. Upon recommendation of the Division Head, the Chief Circuit Judge may approve initial compensation through Step 3 in the salary schedule when the needs of the Court make such action necessary; provided that any such exception is based on the outstanding and unusual character of the individual employee's experience and ability over and above the desirable qualifications specified for the class. Authorization for initial compensation above Step 3 must be obtained from a majority of the judges of the Court.

Circuit Court Employees Only. Reasonable arrangements will be made to allow stewards time off with pay, with prior permission of their supervisor, during their regular working hours for the purpose of investigating grievances and to attend grievance meetings. Stewards shall have access to court or office premises for the purpose of investigating and adjusting any complaints and grievances by arranging with the respective division heads to visit such premises during regular working hours, but in no event shall the xxxxxxx interfere with the maintenance of discipline or the regular work being carried on in the division. The court or office premises may be used for grievance interviews. Stewards shall investigate and present the grievances to the division heads through the grievance procedure. In the event the xxxxxxx is absent, an alternate xxxxxxx may perform his/her functions, provided they have conformed with the above requirements in notifying the division head, giving him/her reasonable time to adjust for their absences during such periods while they are investigating or processing grievance procedures. This section applies to the Circuit Court only.

  • Government and Service Employees' Union The leave shall be for a period of three years and shall be renewed upon request.

  • Employees on Layoff A classified employee who receives an Employer Contribution, who has three (3) or more years of continuous service, and who has been permanently or seasonally laid off, remains eligible for an Employer Contribution and all other benefits provided under this Article for an extended benefit eligibility period of six (6) months from the date of layoff.

  • Holiday Pay for Employees Laid Off An employee who is laid off at the close of business the day before a holiday who has worked not less than five (5) previous consecutive work days shall be paid for the holiday.

  • Full-Time Employees Only Employees will be allowed to participate in health and welfare benefits plans during the year of the leave, but the full cost of such plans will be borne by the employees. Contributions to the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan will be in accordance with the Plan. Notwithstanding the above, employees will not be eligible to participate in the disability income plan during the year of the leave.

  • Employee’s Role The Employee ☐ shall ☐ shall not have the right to act in the capacity of the Employer. This includes, but is not limited to, making written or verbal agreements with any customer, client, affiliate, vendor, or third (3rd) party.

  • Employees on Leave Unit members who are granted Sick Leave Bank Days shall be considered to be in regular paid status during such leave.

  • Alternative Employment An employer, in a particular redundancy case, may make application to the Commission to have the general severance pay prescription varied if the employer obtains acceptable alternative employment for an employee.

  • School Year Employment If an employee is employed on the basis of a school year and such employment contemplates absences from the State payroll during the summer months or vacation periods scheduled by the Appointing Authority which occur during the regular school year, the employee shall nonetheless remain eligible for an Employer Contribution, provided that the employee appears on the regular payroll for at least one (1) working day in the payroll period immediately preceding such absences.

  • Restricted Employment for Certain State Personnel Contractor acknowledges that, pursuant to Section 572.069 of the Texas Government Code, a former state officer or employee of a state agency who during the period of state service or employment participated on behalf of a state agency in a procurement or contract negotiation involving Contractor may not accept employment from Contractor before the second anniversary of the date the Contract is signed or the procurement is terminated or withdrawn.

  • Part-time Employees Eligible for Holidays 367. Part-time employees who regularly work a minimum of twenty (20) hours in a bi-weekly pay period shall be entitled to holiday pay on a proportionate basis. 368. Regular full-time employees are entitled to 8/80 or 1/10 time off when a holiday falls in a bi-weekly pay period, therefore, part-time employees, as defined in the immediately preceding paragraph, shall receive a holiday based upon the ratio of 1/10 of the total hours regularly worked in a bi-weekly pay period. Holiday time off shall be determined by calculating 1/10 of the hours worked by the part-time employee in the bi-weekly pay period immediately preceding the pay period in which the holiday falls. The computation of holiday time off shall be rounded to the nearest hour.
