Common use of Civil Emergency Clause in Contracts

Civil Emergency. If, in the sole discretion of the College President, it is determined that a civil emergency condition exists, including but not limited to riots, civil disorders, hurricane conditions, pandemics, or other catastrophes, the provisions of this Agreement may be suspended by the College President during the time of the one or more emergency. The College will notify the Union Office as soon as practical.

If, in the sole discretion of the College President, it is determined that a civil emergency condition exists, including but not limited to riots, civil disorders, hurricane conditions, pandemics, conditions or other catastrophes, the provisions of this Agreement may be suspended by the College President during the time of the one or more declared emergency, provided that wage rates and monetary fringe benefits shall not be suspended. The College will notify the Union Office as soon as practical.
