Faculty Qualifications. 1. The college must select instructors of dual credit courses. This faculty must be regularly employed faculty members of the college or must meet all criteria established for credit instruction in the DCCCD, including SACSCOC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) criteria. The approval procedures used by the college to select faculty must be the same as that used for faculty teaching at the college campus.
2. It is encouraged that high school faculty teaching dual credit classes should also teach a class on the college campus as soon and as often as practical.
3. Faculty teaching dual credit classes will meet all expectations for adjunct instructors including attending orientations, faculty meetings, and staff development/training activities.
4. The faculty supervision and evaluation will be the same as that for all instructors at the college. Such evaluations will be conducted by the appropriate division xxxx or delegate. The student survey of instruction instrument will be administered, and all normal and usual documentation will be completed.
Faculty Qualifications. The college shall select instructors of dual credit courses. A course offered for joint high school and junior college credit under this section must be taught by a qualified instructor approved or selected by the public junior college. An instructor is qualified if the instructor holds: A doctoral or master's degree in the discipline that is the subject of the course; A master's degree in another discipline with a concentration that required completion of a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline that is the subject of the course; or For a course that is offered in an associate degree program and that is not designed for transfer to a baccalaureate degree program: A degree described by item 1 or 2 above; A baccalaureate degree in the discipline that is the subject of the course; or An associate degree and demonstrated competencies in the discipline that is the subject of the course, as determined by the Coordinating Board. These instructors must meet the same standards, including minimal requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and approval procedures used by the college to select faculty responsible for teaching the same courses at the main campus of the college.
(1) Application Approval Not later than the 60th day after receipt, a public junior college shall approve or reject an application for approval to teach a course at a high school that is submitted by an instructor employed by the school district, organization, or other person that operates the high school with which the junior college entered into an agreement under this section to offer the course. Education Code 130.008(h)
Faculty Qualifications. If the student achieves a composite score of 23 on the PLAN with a 19 or higher in English or an English score of 435 on the ACT-Aspire.
Faculty Qualifications. The qualifications of faculty teaching distance education classes must be consistent with those of the College faculty.
Faculty Qualifications. A) BOR and TC institutions shall follow the standards for faculty qualifications in teaching courses approved under this agreement as established by the HLC in their Assumed Practices (HLC Policy CRRT.B.10.020.
Faculty Qualifications. To teach a dual credit course, secondary school teachers must be approved by their local KCTCS college according to criteria established by the SACSCOC Guidelines for Faculty Credentials and the local KCTCS college policy. Dual credit faculty must meet the same academic requirements as faculty members teaching on the college campus. Secondary school faculty, as dual credit and concurrent enrollment faculty, will demonstrate, through appropriate documentation, compliance with KCTCS teaching qualifications. Appropriate documentation will include: Official college transcripts; A current vita, resume, or application showing teaching and work experience; Official documentation of relevant work experience; and Any documentation local policy requires. Secondary school faculty who are approved and teach dual credit courses will be compensated by the secondary school.
Faculty Qualifications. SACs have the responsibility to review and recommend education and experience prerequisites for Faculty positions. Management has the responsibility of final approval and implementation of faculty qualifications. Once approved, faculty qualifications shall not be modified without SAC agreement.
Faculty Qualifications. Faculty members may be assigned only to teach credit courses for which they are qualified by reason of academic preparation and/or experience as defined by the College using guidelines provided by the Commission on Colleges of the Proposal 1 – January 25, 2002 11 Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and/or other accrediting agencies, where applicable.
Faculty Qualifications o WCJC shall select instructors of dual credit courses. o All instructors of dual credit courses must meet the minimal requirements as specified by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. o High school faculty members selected to teach dual credit courses must meet the same criteria as WCJC adjunct faculty. These instructors must submit employment applications and official transcripts to WCJC Human Resources Department for hire as adjunct faculty. These instructors will be paid by WCJC as adjunct faculty and are expected to meet the same work requirements as those for all WCJC adjunct faculty. o WCJC department heads, program directors, or division chairs will evaluate dual credit instructors according to WCJC Part-time Instructor Appraisal Procedures. o WCJC department heads, program directors, or division chairs will be permitted to visit high school campuses to observe dual credit classes to ensure the quality and instructional rigor of the course in order to prepare students for subsequent college coursework.
Faculty Qualifications. All individuals teaching dual credit courses must meet the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements for college faculty. The Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) in conjunction with the School Xxxx will arrange for (hire) personnel to teach dual-credit courses on the WBU- Plainview campus or at PHS, to include full-time professors, adjunct instructors, or qualified public school teachers. All dual-credit instructors must have a master's degree with a minimum of eighteen graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline. The VPAA and School Xxxx responsible for the course must approve the instructor prior to start of course. The school district, at the discretion of the principal and other school district personnel, reserve the right to deny adjunct employment. Qualified public school teachers who teach dual credit courses will be considered adjunct instructors and must follow all departmental policies to teach dual credit courses, including but not limited to: submitting employment applications and official transcripts, interviewing with the School Xxxx (at the xxxx’x discretion), attending course trainings, and being subject to regular evaluations. Adjunct instructors are required to adhere to University and Academic School policies regarding grading, institutional syllabi, textbooks, assignments, and curriculum. All course materials and teaching methodologies must be approved by the appropriate School Xxxx. Adjunct instructors are also required to comply with the University’s FERPA requirements and policies regarding the disclosure of student information. Adjunct instructors may be required to meet with other faculty and school deans at least once per academic year as a group for faculty development activities. Adjunct instructors who are dual-credit instructors are required to meet all deadlines for requests of information, including but not limited to current contact information, college transcripts, course syllabi, census-date/attendance information, and mid-term and final grades. They will also provide instruction consistent with departmental objectives and expectations. They are also expected to meet all institutional policies and deadlines for certification of class rolls and final grade submissions. Failure to meet institutional requirements may result in termination of adjunct position.
