Course Preparation. There shall be no more than four (4) different course preparations 18 for middle or high school teachers except as approved by the Superintendent.
Course Preparation. No Faculty Member shall normally be assigned more than three courses or course preparations of different subject matter within the workload in any one semester, without his/her consent.
Course Preparation. The number of course preparations will be kept to a minimum for faculty members introducing new courses, using new instructional methods or teaching courses they have not taught before. Any course listed in the College catalog, with a course number, is considered a preparation. Lecture and lab courses will be considered two (2) separate preparations.

Whenever possible, the appropriate supervisor will arrange a schedule to accommodate unit members in these endeavors.
Course Preparation. A course preparation is the planning, organizing, and, in some cases, development that an instructor must perform in order to prepare to teach any course. If the course to be taught is entirely new to the College and the instructor is required to develop it, or if major development work is required before the course can be taught, then no instructor shall normally be assigned more than three (3) such course preparations in any one semester. If, in special circumstances, this is necessary, the instructor's agreement is required.
Course Preparation. Courses not previously taught by the instructor will be assigned no less than fifty-five (55) days prior to the beginning of the course, unless agreed to in writing by the instructor. Assignment of new course preparation shall be arranged within each department.
