Classification Definitions. An Engineering/Production Employee - Level II is an employee who has completed up to three months structured training so as to enable the employee to perform work within the scope of this level. Classification Definitions. Note: The following classification definitions should be read in conjunction withwith the following: • the Engineering stream and Vocational field definitions (clauses 1.6.2 and 1.6.6 respectively); • the definitions of “Engineering Associate”, “or equivalent” and “work within the scope of this level” are at the end of this Schedule. A Trainer/Supervisor/Coordinator - Level I is an FTM who is responsible for the work of other FTMs and/or provision of structured on-the-job training. Such an FTM has completed a qualification at AQFIII level or above, of which at least one third of the competencies are related to supervision/training, or equivalent. Notwithstanding the above definition an FTM who is mainly engaged to perform work supervising or coordinating the work of other FTMs and who has sufficient additional training beyond that of those coordinated or supervised so as to enable the FTM to perform work within the scope of this level shall be classified at this level. A Trainer/Supervisor/Coordinator - Level II is an FTM who is responsible for the supervision and/or training of Trainers/Supervisors/Coordinators - Level I. Such an FTM has completed an AQF IV or V qualification or equivalent of which at least 50% of the competencies are in supervision/training. An Engineering/Production FTM - Level I is an FTM who is undertaking up to 38 hours induction training which may include information on the Company, Client site or workplace, conditions of employment, introduction to supervisors and fellow workers, training and career path opportunities, plant layout, work and documentation procedures, workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and quality control/assurance. An FTM at this level performs routine duties essentially of a manual nature and to the level of their training:
(i) performs general labouring and cleaning duties;
(ii) exercises minimal judgement;
(iii) works under direct supervision supervision; or
(iv) is undertaking structured training so as to enable them to work at the C13 level. An Engineering/Production Employee FTM - Level II is an employee FTM who has completed up to three months structured training so as to enable the employee FTM to perform work within the scope of this level. (iv) or equivalentequivalent and is able to exercise the skills and knowledge of the engineering trade so as to enable the FTM to perform work within the scope of this level. An Engineering Tradesperson - Level I works above and beyond an FTM at C11 and to the level of their skills, competence and training.
