Specialist. A dentist who focuses on a specific area of dentistry, including oral surgery, endodontia, periodontia, orthodontia and pediatric dentistry, or a group of patients to diagnose, manage, prevent or treat certain types of symptoms and conditions. Spouse: The person to whom the Subscriber is legally married, including a same sex Spouse. Spouse also includes a domestic partner. Subscriber: The person to whom this Contract is issued. UCR (Usual, Customary and Reasonable): The cost of a dental service in a geographic area based on what Providers in the area usually charge for the same or similar medical service. Us, We, Our: BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and anyone to whom We legally delegate performance, on Our behalf, under this Contract. Utilization Review: The review to determine whether services are or were Medically Necessary or experimental or investigational (including treatment for a rare disease or a clinical trial). You, Your: The Member.
Specialist. A Provider who practices in a specialty area of medicine, including, but not limited to, radiology, cardiology, surgery, orthopedics, and oncology. Stabilized/Stabilization. With respect to an emergency medical condition, that no material deterioration of the condition is likely, within reasonable medical probability, to result or occur before an individual can be transferred.
Specialist. The Specialist is an employee with recognized expertise in a particular specialty area of Legal Services work (including litigation skills). A Specialist will not be responsible for supervision or management as defined by applicable labor law. In addition to the other responsibilities of his/her job category, a Specialist is responsible for some or all of the following tasks:
1. Serve as a resource in the specialty area to other LSNY personnel and client and community groups;
2. Assist the Employer in all facets of training and regular updates in the specialty area;
3. Participate as a consultant and/or co-counsel on major litigation in the specialty area;
4. Prepare resource materials in the specialty area.
Specialist. The interview shall include a mental status examination and review of the status of problems that were the focus of attention prior to arrival. In the case of an inmate who is recently downgraded from an S-3 and above classification that is reassigned to an S- 1 or S-2 institution, the inmate should be maintained as S-2 for a minimum period of two months and provided services accordingly.
Specialist. A physician whose practice is limited to a particular branch of medicine or surgery, especially one who is professionally certified by a board of physicians. State: State of Wisconsin.

Specialist a Physician, other than a Primary Care Provider, who limits his or her practice to a particular branch of medicine or Surgery.

Specialist. Interventionist shall mean all teachers who are paid on the teachers’ salary schedule who work with teachers in specified areas of request, whether by teacher request or administrative request. The specialists/interventionists are assigned by the district office and report to the specific district administrator for whom they work. A specialist may report to the administration what areas are being addressed. While they may conduct observations, they have no administrative authority to conduct evaluations.
