Classroom Clears. Any time students witness behavior so disruptive that a classroom must be cleared, the administration, in collaboration with the classroom teacher, will ensure communication is made with appropriate parents/guardians about the incident, in compliance with privacy laws. The District shall provide per diem compensation to employees, when it is necessary to clean work areas that are damaged by student conduct and reimburse employees for the personal educational items damaged or destroyed. The District shall provide per diem compensation to employees, if, in consultation with building custodial staff and administrator, it is determined that the cleanup cannot be completed by their building custodial staff. This cleanup will be required to take place outside of the contracted day. The District shall reimburse employees for the personal educational items damaged or destroyed. The District shall reimburse to a maximum of two-hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) to employees per school year for replacement of any clothing eye glasses, hearing aids or any other required medical devices damaged or destroyed by student conduct during the course of their assigned working hours. If the cost is above two-hundred-fifty dollars ($250.00), employees who were not able to cover the full cost after exhausting their insurance benefits will have an opportunity to request reimbursement from the district.
