Clothing Allowance. (a) Every uniformed member shall be issued on an as-required basis, at the discretion of the Chief Constable, the following items of uniform: jacket, trousers, skirts, overcoats, caps, waterproof clothing, ties, gloves and shirts. The last issue of such items shall remain the property of the Board. A refusal to issue may be appealed through the regular grievance procedure as outlined in Article 14 of this Agreement. Such reimbursement shall be in an amount not to exceed one thousand seventy dollars ($1,070.00) per annum, which amount shall be prorated in the instance of a member completing a part year of service wherein the member is required to wear civilian clothing as a part of the member's regular duties. The member may elect to receive such clothing allowance as 1 (one) lump sum at the outset of the calendar year, or as 3 (three) lump sum payments at intervals throughout the year, subject to the requirement that any clothing allowance received by a member for a period of a calendar year during which the member is not required to wear civilian clothing, shall be assumed and paid by rebated to the Board, except there shall be a maximum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) in any single claim or incident in regard to watches and jewelleryEmployer.

(e) The Employer shall provide cleaning services to all members who are required to wear a uniform in the performance of their duties, with the following maximums: - 1 (one) uniform shirt per working day;
- 1 ( one) pair of uniform pants per week;
- 1 ( one) uniform tunic every 2 weeks; and
- 1 ( one) storm coat every month.
(f) Each member shall be entitled to be issued a protective vest, including a front trauma plate for those who request it, and the Employer shall pay 100% of the cost thereof. The selection of a standard style and make of protective vest shall be made by the Employer. The protective vest shall remain the property of the Employer.
(g) The Employer shall provide cleaning services to all members granted a permanent clothing allowance, with the following maximums: - 1 (one) shirt per working day;
- 1 ( one) pair of pants per week;
- 1 ( one) sport or suit jacket every 2 weeks; and - 1 (one) overcoat every month.
(h) It is understood that members absent on unpaid either sick leave of absence, vacation, sick leave, or Workers' Compensation benefits for a period in excess of fourfour consecutive weeks shall not be entitled to the benefits provided pursuant to Subsections (d), (e), and (f) of this Section 6.1 for the duration of such absence.

The allowance shall be paid cash in advance, semi-annually, on January 1st and July 1st of each year.
(fe) It is understood that members absent on unpaid leave of absence, vacation, sick leave, or Workers' Compensation benefits for a period in excess of fourfour (4) consecutive weeks shall not be entitled to clothing allowances set out in this Agreement for the duration of such absence(s).
(f) Each member entitled to a clothing issue shall be provided, on an as required basis supported by a purchase order and approved by the Chief Constable, a maximum amount of one hundred and eighty-five dollars ($185.00), towards the purchase of regulation style boots and shoes.

The allowance shall be paid in cash in advance, semi-annually on the first pay period in January and the first pay period in July of each year.
(e) Dry cleaning of clothing used by members in the performance of their duties shall be provided by a company selected by the Board, and at the expense of the Board.
(f) It is understood that members absent on unpaid The allowance referred to above in Subsection 6(1)(d) shall not continue during extended absences including, without limiting generality, Workers’ Compensation Board, long-term illness or disability and leave of absence, vacation, sick leave, and shall be reduced on a pro-rata basis after thirty (30) continuous calendar days of such absence. No reduction shall be made in regard to annual vacations.
(g) Members assigned to the Street Crime Unit or Workers' Compensation benefits Constables assigned to Youth Section shall not receive an allowance for a period in excess of fourdry cleaning plain clothes. Uniforms worn by those members will continue to be dry cleaned at the employer’s expense.

Clothing Allowance. (a) Every uniformed member A. The Town agrees to provide the following uniforms and equipment for regular employees covered by this Agreement for the normal acquisition and replacement of uniforms with the understanding that a sergeant will be provided only the necessary uniforms and equipment needed to maintain a professional appearance and to perform their duties as determined by the Police Chief, with the understanding that the Police Chief, at his/her discretion and based upon need, may exceed the following limits. Sergeants receive an annual clothing allowance of $500.00.
B. The term “uniform” under this section shall be issued construed to include: Sergeant – Hats, shirts, pants, jackets (winter and summer), gloves, ties, shoes or boots and re-soling of same, turtlenecks and winter caps.
C. The Town agrees to pay one hundred percent (100%) of the replacement cost of equipment, with said equipment to be replaced on an as-required needed basis, at the discretion provided said equipment has not been lost or destroyed by negligence of the employee. Requests for replacement of equipment shall be in writing to the Police Chief Constableor designee. The term “equipment” shall be construed to include: Equipment – two badges (hat and breast), weapons (one (1) semi-automatic), cuffs, o/c spray, expandable baton, collar brass, cloth/metal insignia, ammunition, whistle, flashlight, holster, cuff-case, baton holder, belt stays, S.B. belt and magazine pouch, name tags, service ribbons, protective vest. Sergeants will be required to wear the protective vest at all times.
D. The Town agrees to repair or replace the following items of uniformpersonal property, if damaged in the line of duty: jacketeyeglasses/eye wear, trousersdentures, skirts, overcoats, caps, waterproof clothing, ties, gloves and shirtswatches. The last issue repair or replacement of such items shall remain the property of the Board. A refusal to issue may be appealed through the regular grievance procedure as outlined in Article 14 of this Agreement.
(b) Each member entitled to the clothing allowance benefits provided under Subsection 6(1)(a) above shall be paid a bi-weekly amount of seven dollars and twelve cents ($7.12) in lieu of the following items: boots/shoes, socks and pantyhose.
(c) Style and character of the uniforms and equipment issued to the members shall be according to the Police Act, Police (Uniforms) Regulations. The Union shall be afforded the opportunity of meeting with the Chief Constable, or an officer designated by him, for the purpose of communicating the views of the Union with respect to the style and character of uniforms and equipment other than prescribed by the Police (Uniforms) Regulations. Prior to a change being made in the style or character of the uniforms or equipment, the Union will be advised of the proposed change and afforded an opportunity of considering the proposed changes and meeting with the Chief Constable, or an officer designated by him, for the purpose of making representations with respect to the proposed changes.
(d) Upon the recommendation of the Chief Constable, all damage to a member's clothing and equipment, whether issued or required by the Board, and incurred in the course of duty, shall be assumed and paid by the Board, except there watches shall be a maximum cost to the Town, per incident, of two hundred and fifty sixty dollars ($250.00) in any single claim or incident in regard to watches and jewellery60.00).
E. The Town agrees to pay a dry-cleaning allowance of Twenty Dollars (e$20.00) All members granted permanent clothing per month for the care of uniforms for sergeants. This allowance shall will be paid the sum of forty-one dollars and sixteen cents ($41.16) bi-weekly in lieu of the clothing mentioned in Subsection 6(1)(a), and all members granted clothing allowance on a temporary or intermittent basis shall be paid in lieu of the clothing mentioned in Subsection 6(1)(a) the sum of five dollars ($5.00) for each day such members are required to work in plainclothesannually between December 1– December 15.

Such reimbursement shall be in an amount not to exceed one thousand seventy dollars ($1,070.00) per annum, which amount shall be prorated in the instance of a member completing a part year of service wherein the member is required to wear civilian clothing as a part of the member's regular duties. The member may elect to receive such clothing allowance as 1 (one) lump sum at the outset of the calendar year, or as 3 (three) lump sum payments at intervals throughout the year, subject to the requirement that any clothing allowance received by a member for a period of a calendar year during which the member is not required to wear civilian clothing, shall be assumed and paid by rebated to the Board, except there shall be a maximum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) in any single claim or incident in regard to watches and jewelleryEmployer.

‐ 1 ( one) overcoat every month.
(f) It is understood that members absent on unpaid leave The Employer shall provide cleaning services to all employees who are required to wear a uniform in the performance of absencetheir duties, vacation, sick leave, or Workers' Compensation benefits for a period in excess with the following maximums:

Section 14.3 Employees not in the Firefighting Division and Chief Officers shall receive a clothing allowance of five hundred thirty-five dollars (f$535.00) It is understood that members absent on unpaid leave per year.
Section 14.4 Employees shall receive eighty-five dollars ($85.00) per year in addition to the amounts specified in Section 14.2 and 14.3 for the purchase of absencefitness clothing and apparel.
Section 14.5 During the term of this Agreement, vacationEmployees shall receive a cash payment instead of the annual clothing allowance. The payment shall be equal to the amount of the clothing allowance specified in Article 14, sick leaveSections 1, 2, 3 and 4, as applicable to the Employee. A labor management committee will review the current uniform acquisition system including, but not limited to, the possible use of a vendor system.
Section 14.6 Employees who sustain damage to their uniform while in the performance of their duties as Tulsa Firefighters which would warrant the replacement of such uniform or clothing may submit a written request form to the Chief of the Fire Department for replacement of the damaged item(s). Such damage shall have been caused by the performance of the Employee’s duties and shall not cover damage arising from normal wear and tear or accidents caused by the Employee's own negligence or carelessness. In order to be eligible for uniform or clothing replacement, said Employee must have expended his/her clothing allowance from the previous year. The Employee shall present documentation of clothing allowance expenditures to support the request for payment. Upon determination by the Fire Chief, or Workers' Compensation benefits his/her designee, that the request is justified in accordance with this Article, he/she shall submit an authorization request for a period payment of the replacement cost for the damaged item(s) by the City of Tulsa. Approved replacement payments shall not affect the Employee's annual clothing allowance. Prescription eye wear and watches shall be included in excess above Section, provided the replacement cost does not exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) towards the purchase of foureye wear or thirty dollars ($30.00) for watches.

The allowance shall be paid bi-weekly, in advance.
(e) The Employer shall provide cleaning services to all employees granted a permanent clothing allowance, with the following maximums: - 1 (one) shirt per working day;
- 1 ( one) pair of pants per week;
- 1 ( one) sport or suit jacket every 2 weeks; and
- 1 ( one) overcoat every month.
(f) The Employer shall provide cleaning services to all employees who are required to wear a uniform in the performance of their duties, with the following maximums: - 1 (one) uniform shirt per working day;
- 1 ( one) pair of uniform pants per week;
- 1 ( one) uniform tunic every 2 weeks; and
- 1 ( one) storm coat every month.
(g) Each employee shall be entitled to be issued a protective vest and the Employer shall pay 100% of the cost thereof. The selection of a standard style and make of protective vest shall be made by the Employer. The protective vest shall remain the property of the Employer.
(h) It is understood that members employees absent on unpaid either sick leave of absence, vacation, sick leave, or Workers' Compensation benefits for a period in excess of fourfour consecutive weeks shall not be entitled to the benefits provided pursuant to Subsections 6.1(d), 6.1(e) and 6.1(f) for the duration of such absence.
