Common use of Cold work Clause in Contracts

Cold work. A.18.3.1 An employee who works in a place where the temperature is lowered by artificial means to less than 0° Celsius will be paid 53 cents per hour. This allowance will be adjusted annually on 1 March (2010-2011) based on the December to December Consumer Price Index of the previous year from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (all groups, Melbourne). A.18.3.2 Where such work continues for more than two hours, the employee will be entitled to twenty minutes rest after every two hours work without loss of pay, not including the special rate provided by this clause.
