Forward journey. For the time spent in so travelling, at ordinary rates up to a maximum of eight hours per day for each day of travel (to be calculated as the time taken by rail or the usual travelling facilities). • For the amount of a fare on the most common method of public transport to the job (bus, economy air, second class rail with sleeping berths if necessary, which may require a first class rail fare), and any excess payment due to transporting the employee’s tools if such is incurred. • For any meals incurred while travelling at $10.50 per meal. The Company may deduct the cost of the forward journey fare from an employee who terminates or discontinues employment within two weeks of commencing on the job and who does not forthwith return to the place of engagement.

(A) at the Company's election, be provided with appropriate transport or paid the amount of a fare on the most appropriate method of transport to the job (bus, economy air, second class rail with sleeping berths if necessary) and any excess payment due to transporting tools if such is incurred;
(B) be paid for the time spent in travelling, at the applicable Hourly Rate of Pay without any overtime payment or loading, up to a maximum of eight hours per day for each day of travel, which will not be calculated or counted as time worked; and
(C) be paid $16.37 per meal for any meals incurred while traveling where a meal is not provided.
(ii) The Company may deduct the cost of the forward journey fare from an Employee who terminates or discontinues employment within two weeks of commencing on the job and who does not immediately return to the Employee's place of engagement.
