Committee on Political Education. The Employer agrees to deduct an amount equal to five cents ($.05) for each hour worked from the wages of each employee who voluntarily signs an authorization card.

Committee on Political Education. Upon receipt of a voluntary written individual order from any of the employees covered by this Agreement, on forms provided by the Union, the Employer will deduct from the pay due such employee a voluntary additional contribution to the Committee on Political Education (COPE). The Employer will provide the Union with a list of employees who contribute to COPE and the amounts contributed. The total amount contributed to COPE will be transmitted to the Union in a separate check made out to SEIU COPE.
Committee on Political Education. This Authorization is signed voluntarily and not out of any fear of reprisal and on the understanding that IBEW-COPE is engaged in a joint fund-raising effort with the AFL-CIO, will use the money contributed to that effort to make political contributions and expenditures in connection with federal and state elections, and that this voluntary authorization may be revoked at any time by notifying the Company and IBEW-COPE in writing of a desire to do so. Contributions or gifts to IBEW-COPE are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

A unit employee interested in making such contributions shall authorize the City in writing on a form, which clearly indicates the funds will be used for political purposes and that the contribution is voluntary in nature. 3. Remittance to the Union of the aggregate amount of such deductions will be made by the City within fifteen (15) working days after the end of the month in which said deductions were effected.
