Committee on Trade Facilitation. 1. The Parties hereby establish a Committee on Trade Facilitation (Trade Facilitation Committee), composed of government representatives of each Party. 2. The Trade Facilitation Committee shall: (a) facilitate the exchange of information among the Parties with respect to their respective experiences regarding the development and implementation of a single window including information regarding each Party's participating border agencies and the automation of its forms, documents, and procedures; (b) facilitate the exchange of information among the Parties regarding the formulation and implementation of, and experiences under, each Party's low-risk trader programs, including their AEO programs; (c) provide a forum for the sharing of views on individual cases involving questions of tariff classification, customs valuation, other customs treatments, or emerging industry trends and issues, with a view to reconciling inconsistencies, supporting a competitive business environment, or otherwise facilitating trade and investment among the Parties; (d) facilitate the exchange of information among the Parties regarding the formulation and implementation of, and experiences with, each Party's measures that promote voluntary compliance by traders; (e) providing a forum for the Parties to consult and endeavor to resolve issues relating to this Chapter, including, as appropriate, in coordination or jointly with other committees or other subsidiary bodies established under this Agreement; (f) review international initiatives on trade facilitation; (g) identify initiatives for joint action by their respective customs administrations, in cases where joint action could facilitate trade among the Parties, and taking into account priorities and experiences of their customs administrations; (h) discuss technical assistance and support for capacity building to enhance the impact of trade facilitation measures for traders, and in particular to identify priorities for this assistance and support among their customs administrations and outside North America; and (i) engage in other activities as the Parties may decide. 3. The Trade Facilitation Committee shall meet within one year of the date of entry into force of this Agreement, and thereafter at such times as the Parties decide. 4. Committee on Trade Facilitation. 1. The parties establish a committee on trade facilitation, comprising representatives of each party, which shall meet at the request of the Commission or one of the Parties. 2. The functions of the Committee shall include: (a) The Commission to propose the adoption of guidelines customs and practices that facilitate trade between the parties, in line with the evolution of the guidelines of the WCO and the WTO; (b) The Commission to propose solutions on differences that arise relating to: (i) The interpretation, implementation and administration of this chapter; (ii) Matters of tariff classification and customs valuation; and (iii) The other issues related to practices or procedures adopted by the parties that impede the rapid release of goods. (c) To ensure the proper application of customs legislation by customs authorities; (d) The Commission to propose the obstacles or difficulties related to this chapter that arise between the parties; (e) Uniform Guidelines propose to the Commission, based on international standards for the improvement of customs procedures; (f) Consider the proposed modification of customs standards in matters pertaining to this chapter that may affect the flow of trade between the parties; (g) Report to the Commission on the development of its activities; (h) Provide a report to the Commission, setting out its findings and recommendations, when a request and upon request of a Party proposing the modification of this chapter; and (i) Any other matter that it considers relevant. The obligations of Article 5.11.1 (b), shall enter into force three (3) years after the date of Entry into Force of this Agreement.

  • Committee on Trade in Goods 1. The Parties hereby establish a Committee on Trade in Goods comprising officials of each Party. The meetings of the Committee and any ad-hoc working group shall be coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Korea and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, or their respective successors. 2. The Committee shall meet upon request of a Party or the Joint Commission to consider matters arising under this Chapter, Chapter Three (Rules of Origin), Four (Origin Procedures) or Five (Customs Administration and Trade Facilitation).

  • Summary of Policy and Prohibitions on Procurement Lobbying Pursuant to State Finance Law §139-j and §139-k, this Contract includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between OGS and a Vendor during the procurement process. A Vendor is restricted from making contacts from the earliest notice of intent to solicit offers/bids through final award and approval of the Procurement Contract by OGS and, if applicable, the Office of the State Comptroller (“restricted period”) to other than designated staff unless it is a contact that is included among certain statutory exceptions set forth in State Finance Law §139-j(3)(a). Designated staff, as of the date hereof, is identified in Appendix G, Contractor and OGS Information, or as otherwise indicated by OGS. OGS employees are also required to obtain certain information when contacted during the restricted period and make a determination of the responsibility of the Vendor pursuant to these two statutes. Certain findings of non-responsibility can result in rejection for contract award and in the event of two findings within a four-year period; the Vendor is debarred from obtaining governmental Procurement Contracts.   • Reliance on Third Party Service Providers Each Party may allow Reporting Financial Institutions to use third party service providers to fulfill the obligations imposed on such Reporting Financial Institutions by a Party, as contemplated in this Agreement, but these obligations shall remain the responsibility of the Reporting Financial Institutions.

  • PROCUREMENT LOBBYING To the extent this agreement is a "procurement contract" as defined by State Finance Law Sections 139-j and 139-k, by signing this agreement the contractor certifies and affirms that all disclosures made in accordance with State Finance Law Sections 139-j and 139-k are complete, true and accurate. In the event such certification is found to be intentionally false or intentionally incomplete, the State may terminate the agreement by providing written notification to the Contractor in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
