Common use of Community Service Leave Clause in Contracts

Community Service Leave. Pursuant to Division 8 Part 2-2 of Chapter 2 of the Act an Employee who engages in an eligible community service activity is entitled to be absent from his or her employment on leave without pay for a period if: (a) the period consists of one or more of the following: (i) time when the Employee engages in the activity; (ii) reasonable travelling time associated with the activity; (iii) reasonable rest time immediately following the activity; and (b) the Employee’s absence is reasonable in all the circumstances.

Community Service Leave. Pursuant to Division 8 Part 2-2 of Chapter 2 of the Act an An Employee who engages in an eligible community service activity - as defined under section 109 (1) (b) or (c) of the Act - is entitled to be absent from his or her employment on leave without pay for a period if: (a) the period consists of one or more of the following: (i) time when the Employee engages in the activity; (ii) reasonable travelling time associated with the activity; (iii) reasonable rest time immediately following the activity; and (b) the Employee’s absence is reasonable in all the circumstances.
