Common use of Compassionate Care Leave Clause in Contracts

Compassionate Care Leave. An employee may request a leave of absence without pay of up to eight (8) weeks while accessing the compassionate care benefits provided by Employment Insurance to care for a seriously ill family member in accordance with the terms of that program. Such request will be considered in light of operational requirements and will not be unreasonably denied.
