Common use of Compassionate (Family Medical) Leave Clause in Contracts

Compassionate (Family Medical) Leave. (a) The employer will provide compassionate leave of up to Eight (8) weeks, upon request, to an employee who is providing support or participating in the care of a family member with a critical or life- threatening medical condition (spouse including common law and same sex partner, child or spouse’s child, parent or parent’s spouse, grandparent, grandchild, sibling) as defined under Employment Standards Xxx 0000, Section 49.1.
