Common use of Compensation for Union Committee Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Union Committee. The Union acknowledges that the Union Committee will continue to perform their regular duties on behalf of the Municipality, and that such persons will not leave their duties without first obtaining the permission of the immediate supervisor and on the completion of such duties shall report back to the supervisor, or to any job to which the employee has previously been directed, and give any reasonable explanation which may be requested with respect to their absence. Such permission shall not be withheld unreasonably.
