CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT. (a) If performance involves attendance at a conference, which is defined as a meeting, seminar, retreat, symposium, or similar event that involves official travel, the Seller must obtain written approval of the Company, through the Technical Project Officer (TPO) or the Procurement Officer, prior to attending the conference.
(b) If performance involves work related to coordinating, planning, or sponsoring a conference, this Agreement incorporates by reference the Conference Management Special Provision (Company – September 2012). The Seller must obtain written approval from the TPO prior to performing any work related to supporting or managing a conference.
CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT. If performance involves attendance at or work related to coordinating, planning, or sponsoring a conference, which is defined as a meeting, seminar, retreat, symposium, or similar event that involves official travel, this Agreement incorporates by reference DOE Order 110.3A, Conference Management. The Seller must obtain written approval of the Company, through the Technical Project Officer (TPO) or the Subcontract Administrator, prior to attending or performing work related to supporting or managing a conference.

a) The contractor shall ensure that contractor-sponsored conferences reflect the DOE/NNSA’s commitment to fiscal responsibility, appropriate stewardship of taxpayer funds and support the mission of DOE/NNSA as well as other sponsors of work. In addition, the contractor will ensure conferences do not include any activities that create the appearance of taxpayer funds being used in a questionable manner.
b) For the purposes of this clause, “conference” is defined in Attachment 2 to the Deputy Secretary’s memorandum of August 17, 2015 entitled “Updated Guidance on Conference-

CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT. The role of the conference coordinator is to facilitate coordination between conference sub-committees to insure effective communication and decision making between subcommittees.
