Conferences and Meetings Attend meetings with Contractor, such as preconstruction conferences, progress meetings, job conferences and other project-related meetings, and prepare and circulate copies of minutes thereof.
Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.
Conferences At the request of the State or the Engineer, conferences shall be provided at the Engineer's office, the office of the State, or at other locations designated by the State. These conferences shall also include evaluation of the Engineer's services and work when requested by the State.
Labour Management Meetings The committee meeting shall normally be held every second month however, either party may call a meeting of the Joint Labour Management Committee. The meeting shall be held at a time and place fixed by mutual agreement but no later than fourteen (14) calendar days after the initial request, unless mutually agreed.
PERSONNEL DISCLOSURE 1 CONTRACTOR shall make available to ADMINISTRATOR a current list of 28 all personnel providing services hereunder, including résumés and job 1 applications. Changes to the list will be immediately provided to 2 ADMINISTRATOR in writing, along with a copy of a résumé and/or job 3 application. The list shall include:
EMPLOYEE EVALUATIONS 6.1 Administrators will meet with new employees to discuss their job description within one (1) month of hire. The Administrator and new employee will sign off on the job description and it will be forwarded to the Human Resources Department for inclusion in the employee‘s personnel file. The Human Resources Department will compile and distribute a list showing each employee‘s evaluator prior to November 1st of each year. Bargaining unit job descriptions will be made available via the District‘s web site. 6.2 Evaluations will transpire as follows for employees that are receiving satisfactory ratings: a. New hires—regular part-time (school year employees) will be evaluated at three (3) and six (6) working months. b. New hires—full time (12 month employees) will be evaluated at three (3), six (6) and twelve (12) months. c. After the initial year of employment, each employee shall be evaluated at least once annually by March 31st. 6.3 Criteria for evaluating bargaining unit members will be based on the performance categories outlined on the evaluation form as related to the job description of their specific position assignment. 6.4 Evaluation reports shall include feedback regarding strengths and weaknesses (if any) demonstrated by the employee. Prior to an employee receiving a rating less than “Meets Expectations,” the employee shall be advised of the performance concern and provided with a clear statement of any deficiency and a statement defining acceptable performance. This shall occur within a reasonable time prior to the final evaluation to allow the employee a chance to demonstrate improvement. 6.5 In the event an employee is evaluated overall as “Does Not Meet Expectations,” the district, in consultation with the employee and the Association, will provide the employee a written plan of improvement (See Employee Plan of Improvement form in Appendix). The plan shall clearly define all areas of deficiency, provide clear and attainable performance goals, and outline supports (if any) to be given, including any necessary training at the District’s expense. The employee will be given a reasonable amount of time, not to exceed sixty (60) working days, to meet job performance expectations. During the improvement period, feedback will be provided through a minimum of three scheduled meetings. Following the completion of the plan, the supervisor shall notify the employee in writing of the outcome. Failure to demonstrate satisfactory improvement may constitute grounds for termination. 6.6 The bargaining unit member shall be given a copy of their evaluation, and any data collection sheets (with the submitters name excluded) used in the evaluation. 6.7 Under the law there is no right to Association Representation at evaluation conferences. 6.8 Any information shared with the evaluating administrator for the evaluation process shall be recorded on Data Collection Sheet(s), with the exception of those unit members that have supervising teachers. Supervising teachers will work directly with the evaluating administrator to share performance information for inclusion in the unit member‘s evaluation. 6.9 Employees shall have the right to respond to evaluations in writing. Such written response shall be attached to the evaluation if received within 5 days. 6.10 No bargaining unit member shall be required to sign a blank or incomplete evaluation form.
Compensation for Providing Information The Party requesting Information agrees to reimburse the other Party for the reasonable out-of-pocket costs, if any, of creating, gathering and copying such Information, to the extent that such costs are incurred for the benefit of the requesting Party.
TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with Employer policies and available resources. 9.2 Attendance at employer-required training will be considered time worked. The Employer will make reasonable attempts to schedule employer-required training during an employee’s regular work shift. The Employer will pay the registration and associated travel costs in accordance with Article 23, Travel, for employer-required training.
PROMOTIONS AND VACANCIES 3.1 The Employer will determine when a position will be filled, the type of appointment to be used when filling the position, and the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the specific position within a job classification that is being filled. Only those candidates who have the position-specific skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the vacant position will be referred for further consideration by the employing agency. 3.2 An agency’s internal layoff list will consist of employees who have elected to place their name on the layoff list through Article 35, Layoff and Recall, of this Agreement and are confined to each individual agency. 3.3 The statewide layoff list will consist of employees who have elected to place their name on the statewide layoff list in accordance with WAC 000-00-000. 3.4 A promotional candidate is defined as an employee who has completed the probationary period within a permanent appointment and has attained permanent status within the agency. 3.5 A transfer candidate is defined as an employee in permanent status in the same classification as the vacancy within the agency. 3.6 A voluntary demotion candidate is defined as an employee in permanent status moving to a class in a lower salary range maximum within the agency. 3.7 When filling a vacant position with a permanent appointment, candidates will be certified for further consideration in the following manner: A. The most senior candidate on the agency’s internal layoff list with the required skills and abilities who has indicated an appropriate geographic availability will be appointed to the position. B. If there are no names on the internal layoff list, the agency will certify up to twenty (20) candidates for further consideration. Up to seventy-five percent (75%) of those candidates will be statewide layoff, agency promotional, internal transfers, and agency voluntary demotions. All candidates certified must have the position-specific skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position to be filled. If there is a tie for the last position on the certification for either promotional or other candidates, the agency may consider up to ten (10) additional tied candidates. The agency may supplement the certification with additional tied candidates and replace other candidates who waive consideration with like candidates from the original pool. C. Employees in the General Government Transition Pool Program who have the skills and abilities to perform the duties of the vacant position may be considered along with all other candidates who have the skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. D. If the certified candidate pool does not contain at least three (3) affirmative action candidates, the agency may add up to three (3) affirmative action candidates to the names certified for the position. When recruiting for multiple positions, the agency may add an additional five (5) agency candidates and five (5) other candidates to the certified list for each additional position.
Labor Management Meetings Section 11.1. In the interest of sound labor/management relations, the parties agree to meet at agreeable dates and times for the purpose of discussing those issues outlined herein. Normally, meetings held pursuant to this Article will occur no more frequently than once every three (3) months, unless matters of an urgent nature require immediate attention. No more than three (3) employee representatives in pay status will attend such meetings. The Employer and OAPSE may have representatives as each deems necessary to address the issues. Section 11.2. The party requesting the meeting shall furnish an agenda and the names of the employees who will be attending, with the request for the meeting. Subjects that may be discussed at these meetings shall include but not be limited to the items listed below: A. Discuss the administration of this Agreement. B. Notify OAPSE of changes made by the Employer which may affect bargaining unit members. C. Discuss grievances which have not been processed beyond the final step of the Grievance Procedure when such discussions are mutually agreed to by the parties. D. Disseminate general information of interest to the parties. E. Give OAPSE representatives the opportunity to share the views of its members and/or make suggestions on subjects of interest to their members. F. Discuss ways to improve efficiency and work performance. Section 11.3. Written responses promised by either party shall be submitted to the other party within ten (10) work days after such meeting. Section 11.4. Labor/Management meetings are not intended to be negotiation sessions to alter or amend the basic agreement. Section 11.5. In the event of a change of duties of a position within the bargaining unit, or in the event that a new position is created within the Library, the Employer shall determine whether the new or changed position will be included in or excluded from the bargaining unit and shall so advise the Union in writing within thirty (30) calendar days. If the Union disputes the Employer's determination of bargaining unit status, the parties shall meet in an attempt to resolve their disagreement within seven (7) calendar days from the Union notification to the Employer. If the parties agree on the determination, it shall be implemented as agreed by the Employer and the Union and a joint petition for amendment of the bargaining unit shall be filed with the State Employment Relations Board (SERB). If the parties do not agree, the parties shall jointly petition SERB pursuant to Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code and the SERB Rules and Regulations for a determination of bargaining unit status.
