Continuous Running of Plants. The company and its employees recognise that to remain competitive in the markets we are in, our goal is to reduce our manufacturing cost per tonne. To achieve this we must reduce the current downtime experienced throughout the manufacturing process. To enable the site to improve productivity and minimise downtime, we will commence and complete the workday at the workstation. For example, if the shift commences at 6.00 a.m., employees are to be at their workstation at that time to take over from the employee about to finish the previous shift. Preparation for work and cleaning up of the employee’s person shall be in the employee’s time. By ensuring the above is adhered to it will enable Xxxxxxxx to reduce plant downtime and assist in achieving a reduction in our overall cost per tonne.
