Embrace Changes / Flexibility. All parties are committed to the adoption of processes and procedures in order to add value to customers, including the acceptance of change in the way we do things. The Company is undertaking a program of restructuring its manufacturing base, including the introduction of new technologies, as well as recording, quality and production auditing systems. A cornerstone of this Agreement is for employees to adopt and embrace these new technologies, systems and practices into their everyday work routines. The parties are committed to these new technologies and processes and the training of employees which is necessary for the success of these initiatives. As part of the commitment of all parties to embrace changes in the way we do things, it is agreed to continue the existing practice of utilizing employees in any area of the plant, dependent upon business priorities and workloads and provided they have the required skills. This includes the transfer / rotation of employees in areas of the plant to gain experience and skills to allow maximum flexibility in staff allocations including relief. It is the intention of the Company to ensure employees are allocated to the work area of their preference where it is possible under the circumstances. Any transfers to other areas of the plant will normally be of a short term nature, i.e. relief, training, emergency situations. Any employee concerns with this system of staff allocation are to be referred to the Workplace Consultative Committee for resolution and recommendation to the Site Manager for decision. However, the Company retains the right to allocate employees to areas of the plant provided the employees are suitably trained.
