Corporation for National Community Service and for National Peace Corps Association Program Leave. Leave for Corporation for National Community Service and for National Peace Corp Association programs, will be granted, without pay, to any classified employee who has completed at least three (3) years of continuous service, who enlists for a period not to exceed two (2) years. Upon return from such leave, the employee will be placed on the salary schedule at the level which said employee would have achieved had the employee remained actively employed in the system during the period of this absence. National Community Service or National Peace Corps program leave is for one (1) year at a time, and must be renewed for the second year. Employees are credited with regular sick leave allowance during their period of program service.
