Court Appearance As a Witness. In cases connected with the teacher's employment, or whenever the teacher is subpoenaed to attend any proceeding, providing the case does not involve an action against the Board or Association. The teacher granted leave with pay for this purpose will provide evidence of the amount of pay received from the court in order that the teaching salary received during the period might be reduced a like amount.

Court Appearance As a Witness. FOR THE COMPANY AND/OR THE CROWN 36.01 Associates required to appear in court as a witness on behalf of the Crown or the Company will be paid wages amounting to the difference between the amount paid them for witness fees and the amount they would have earned had they worked on such days. Said wages based on the associates current schedule shall not exceed seven and one-half (7½) hours per day and thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week or nine and one-half (9 ½) hours per day and thirty-eight (38) hours per week.
Court Appearance As a Witness. Teachers will receive their regular rate of pay for time serving as a witness as directed by the school district and need not use sick or personal leave. Teachers subpoenaed to attend any proceeding, providing the case does not involve an action against the Board or Association may use personal or sick leave days.

  • Appearance as a Witness Notwithstanding any other provision of this Article V, the Company may pay or reimburse expenses incurred by a Covered Person in connection with his or her appearance as a witness or other participation in a Proceeding at a time when such Covered Person is not a named defendant or respondent in the Proceeding.

  • Court Appearance (a) In the event an Employee is required to appear before a court of law as a member of a jury, as a witness in a criminal matter or as a witness in any matter arising out of the Employee’s employment with the Employer, the Employee shall: (i) suffer no loss of regular earnings for the scheduled Shift(s) so missed; (ii) be paid an amount equal to the Employee’s average daily earnings at the Basic Rate of Pay to a maximum of the Employee’s regularly scheduled daily hours for each day in attendance in court on a scheduled day of rest, and be granted an alternate day of rest as scheduled by the Employer.   • Court Appearance Leave Leave shall be granted for appearance before a court, legislative committee, or other judicial or quasi-judicial body in response to a subpoena, or other direction of proper authority, for job related purposes other than those instituted by the employee or the exclusive representative. Leave shall also be granted for attendance in court in connection with an employee's official duty, which shall include any necessary travel time. Such employee shall be paid for the employee's regular pay less the fee received, exclusive of expenses, for serving as a witness, as required by the court.

  • Court Witness Nurses who are subpoenaed or requested by the Medical Center to appear as a witness in a court case during their normal time off duty will be compensated for the time spent in connection with such an appearance in accordance with the applicable rate of pay. The court witness pay will be assigned to the Medical Center.

  • Court Appearances If an employee is subpoenaed to appear as a witness in a job-related court case, not during the employee’s regularly assigned shift, the employee shall be credited for actual time worked, or a minimum of two and one-half hours, whichever is greater.
