Witness Fees. Employees required to appear in Court as a witness on behalf of the Employer or the Crown in matters relating to their employment, will be paid wages amounting to the difference between the amounts paid them for witness fees and the amount they would have earned had they worked on such days.
Witness Fees. Employees required to appear in Court as a witness on behalf of the Company or the Crown will be paid wages amounting to the difference between the amount paid them for witness fees and the amount they would have earned had they worked on such days to a maximum of eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. Employees appearing as a witness on behalf of the Company on their day off will be paid a minimum of four (4) hours or the amount they would have earned had they worked on such day, as above. This compensation shall be paid at the employee's straight time hourly rate and shall not be considered as payment for time worked.
Witness Fees. Notwithstanding any other provision in this Agreement, to the extent that Indemnitee is made a witness in any Proceeding to which Indemnitee is not a party, because he or she is or was a Director or Officer, the Corporation hereby indemnifies and holds harmless Indemnitee against all Expenses actually and reasonably incurred by Indemnitee or on Indemnitee’s behalf in connection therewith.
Witness Fees. 12/15/1 Where an employee is subpoenaed to testify in a legal action and the Employer determines that such subpoena resulted directly from the performance of the employee’s required duties, the Employer shall permit the employee to take time off with pay to comply with the subpoena if required to appear during his/her regularly scheduled hours of employment; provided, however, that the employee shall turn over to the employer any witness fee received.
Witness Fees. When a full-time employee is summoned to court as a witness, they will be reimbursed by being paid the difference between witness fees received and their normal earnings for the period of absence had they worked on such days, to a maximum of three (3) days per year. It is understood that no allowance of pay will be paid to an employee who is summoned to court as a result of an infraction of the law on their part or of any litigation to which they are a party not arising from the performance of their normal duties. The Company reserves the right to require the employee to provide appropriate verification of the nature of the court duty and fees received before providing reimbursement.
Witness Fees. Officers will collect only the witness fees provided for by statute when testifying in court; such fees will be turned over to the City Auditor for reimbursement of costs to the City. Failure to turn over to the City Auditor any witness fee received for any appearance in any litigation in which the officer appears as a result of the officer’s police duties and responsibilities shall be subject to Articles 20 and 21 of this Contract.
Witness Fees. Nothing in this Agreement shall limit the Corporation's power to pay or reimburse Expenses incurred by Indemnitee in connection with his appearance as a witness in a Proceeding at a time when he has not been made a named defendant or respondent in the Proceeding.
Witness Fees. Should an employee of AmSpec be called to testify or be a witness at trial, deposition, participate in discovery, attend any administrative procedure, or otherwise assist in any dispute between Customer and any third party with respect to AmSpec’s Services, and whether or not AmSpec or its employee shall have been subpoenaed, Customer shall pay AmSpec the current rate, fee and any other charges for such witness services rendered.
Witness Fees. 33.01 Employees subpoenaed to appear in court as a witness or employees appearing on behalf of the Employer and/or the Crown, will be paid wages amounting to the difference between the amount paid them for witness fees and the amount they would have earned had they worked on such days. This does not apply if the employee is excused from court for the rest of the day or days and fails to report back to work, or if the case occurs on the employee's scheduled day off. The employee subpoenaed shall co-operate with the Employer to minimize time from work.
Witness Fees. 1. Bargaining unit employees testifying for state, county, or other government jurisdictions while excused from duty with pay, are not eligible to accept witness fees. Fees received will be given to BSO.
2. Bargaining unit employees subpoenaed by a private party to a litigation who are testifying while excused from duty with pay, will accept a witness fee, but will be required to endorse the check and give it to their immediate supervisor.
3. Bargaining unit employees' supervisors will send all endorsed witness fee checks to Finance.
4. Bargaining unit employees not turning in their witness fees as required will be charged for the period of their absence from work.
