CULTURAL AND LINGUISTIC CAPABILITY. CONTRACTOR shall make its best efforts to provide services pursuant to the Contract in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate for the population(s) served. CONTRACTOR shall maintain documentation of such efforts which may include, but not be limited to: records of participation in COUNTY sponsored or other applicable training; recruitment and hiring P&Ps; copies of literature in multiple languages and formats, as appropriate; and descriptions of measures taken to enhance accessibility for, and sensitivity to, persons who are physically challenged.

CULTURAL AND LINGUISTIC CAPABILITY. 4 A. : CONTRACTOR shall make its best efforts to provide services pursuant to the 5 Agreement in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate for the population(s) served. 6 CONTRACTOR shall maintain documentation of such efforts which may include, but not be limited to: 7 records of participation in COUNTY sponsored or other applicable training; recruitment and hiring 8 P&Ps; copies of literature in multiple languages and formats, as appropriate; and descriptions of 9 measures taken to enhance accessibility for, and sensitivity to, persons who are physically challenged. CONTRACTOR shall actively solicit providers for its network to ensure that 15 Beneficiary requests to use culture-specific providers are met. CONTRACTOR is not required to solicit 16 only Medi-Cal providers for its network. Regular analysis of the Provider Network, including reports of 17 Beneficiary satisfaction, shall be conducted in order to identify any network needs that might arise. In 18 cases where a Beneficiary’s request for a culture-specific provider cannot be met, CONTRACTOR shall 19 conduct an immediate provider search to meet the Beneficiary’s need and shall begin an expedited 20 credentialing process in order to add the identified provider to the network. Qualified interpreters shall 21 not be intended to replace bilingual professionals, but may be utilized only when no alternative is 22 immediately available. A qualified interpreter shall be defined as a person not trained in mental health 23 services who hasthat have completed an appropriate course which covers terms and concepts associated 24 with mental illness, psychotropic medications, and cultural beliefs and practices which may influence 25 the client’s mental health.

  • Cultural ceremonial leave may be taken as whole or part days off. Each day or part thereof, shall be deducted from:

  • Cultural Competency 1. All program staff shall receive at least one (1) in-service training per year on some aspect of providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide County with a schedule of in-service training(s) and a list of participants at each such training.

  • Background and/or Criminal History Investigation Prior to commencement of any services, background and/or criminal history investigation of the Vendor’s employees and subcontractors who will be providing services to the Customer under the Contract may be performed by the Customer. Should any employee or subcontractor of the Vendor who will be providing services to the Customer under the Contract not be acceptable to the Customer as a result of the background and/or criminal history check, then Customer may immediately terminate its Purchase Order and related Service Agreement or request replacement of the employee or subcontractor in question.

  • CULTURAL DIVERSITY The Cultural Diversity Requirement generally does not add units to a student's program. Rather, it is intended to be fulfilled by choosing courses from the approved list that also satisfy requirements in other areas of the student’s program; the exception is that Cultural Diversity courses may not satisfy Culture and Language Requirements for B.S. students. For example, Anthropology 2A can fulfill (3) units of the Behavioral Science requirement and (3) units of the Cultural Diversity requirement. This double counting of a class may only be done with the Cultural Diversity requirement. Courses in Cultural Diversity may be taken at the lower-division or upper-division level. U . S .   • Information Technology Accessibility Standards Any information technology related products or services purchased, used or maintained through this Grant must be compatible with the principles and goals contained in the Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards adopted by the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board under Section 508 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. §794d), as amended.   • Cultural Resources If a cultural resource is discovered, the Purchaser shall immediately suspend all operations in the vicinity of the cultural resource and notify the Forest Officer. Operations may only resume if authorized by the Forest Officer. Cultural resources identified and protected elsewhere in this contract are exempted from this clause. Cultural resources, once discovered or identified, are not to be disturbed by the Purchaser, or his, her or its employees and/or sub- contractors.
