Current Teachers. Current teachers will not be required to move to a stretch calendar, but may do so if they so choose. Establishment of their stretch calendars will be done by mutual agreement. Stretch calendar assignments will continue automatically into future years.

Current Teachers. Pay for a sixth (6th) class in the high school shall be calculated at one-sixth (l/6) of the teacher’s regular salary if the class is in lieu of a preparation period. This shall be reduced to one-twelfth (1/12) if the class is in lieu of a study period.

  • New Teachers No new teachers shall be hired for a vacancy for which a teacher on unrequested leave is certified.

  • Traveling Teachers Traveling teachers are those who are not assigned a dedicated classroom of their own due to limited space. If traveling is necessary within a subject area, traveling status should be rotated. In order to facilitate optimum conditions for instruction, traveling teachers should, to the greatest extent practicable, be provided the following: 1. A quiet, secure space that contains a desk and filing space; 2. Storage space within the classrooms used for instruction; 3. A designated bulletin board and/or chalk or white board in the classrooms used for instruction; 4. An appropriate cart to transfer materials; 5. Supplies needed for instruction to the same extent as other teachers and those unique to traveling teachers.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.
