Deciding Official. The deciding official for all suspensions, demotions, and discharges shall be the University President or his/her designee. The University President may designate any department head or the Vice President of Human Resources as the Deciding Official. The designation of a Deciding Official shall not be grievable.

Deciding Official. The grievance shall be presented by the aggrieved employee with the immediate supervisor or designee involved in the incident giving rise to the grievance. The Employee must also provide a copy of their grievance to the Council President and Chief, Labor Relations, OM or designee, and clearly identify whether they are electing Union representation. If the employee elects union representation, the Council President or designee must designate who the union representative is.
Deciding Official. If a deciding official for one of the grievance steps delegates the decision-making to another official, that official will have the full authority to render a decision.

  • Building Official The Owner and Design Professional acknowledge that there is no state building official other than for Life Safety, Elevator, Building Accessibility, and Fire Safety rules, regulations, and codes. Local government officials (e.g. county and municipal) have no enforcement powers over state authorities except with regard to certain Georgia Environmental Protection Division permits. Road projects may be delivered pursuant to DOT’s General Permit GAR 100001 or GAR 100002, which are available for use by general contractors and are regulated directly by EPD. See 2009 Op. Att’’y Gen. 2009-6 The Design Professional, under the supervision of the Vice Chancellor for Facilities, acts as the Building Official for Projects owned by the Board of Regents.   • Presiding Officer At each meeting of the Board of Managers, the Chairman, or in the absence of the Chairman the President, or in the absence of the President a chairman chosen by a majority of the Managers present, shall preside. The Secretary shall act as secretary at each meeting of the Board of Managers. In case the Secretary shall be absent from any meeting of the Board of Managers, an Assistant Secretary shall perform the duties of secretary at such meeting; and in the absence from any such meeting of the Secretary and all Assistant Secretaries, the person presiding at the meeting may appoint any person to act as secretary of the meeting.

  • KEY OFFICIALS A. Key officials are essential to ensure maximum coordination and communication between the parties and the work being performed. They are:

  • Issuing Office ‌ The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Division of Procurement and Grant Oversight, is issuing this Contract on behalf of the Department for Community Based Services, Division of Protection and Permanency. The Cabinet’s designee is the only office authorized to change, modify, amend, alter, or clarify the specifications, terms and conditions of this Contract.

  • APPOINTING OFFICERS The Member may appoint officers or managers and define their function and authority per Section 00-00-000 of the Act.

  • Hearing Officer The Hearing Officer shall be jointly selected by the parties within thirty (30) days of the execution of this contract and shall serve for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of selection. At that time the parties may choose to re-appoint the Hearing Officer or select a different Hearing Officer who will also serve for a minimum of one (1) year from date of selection.

  • School Official For the purposes of this DPA and pursuant to 34 CFR § 99.31(b), a School Official is a contractor that: (1) Performs an institutional service or function for which the agency or institution would otherwise use employees; (2) Is under the direct control of the agency or institution with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data including Education Records; and (3) Is subject to 34 CFR § 99.33(a) governing the use and re- disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information from Education Records.

  • Field Training Officers The position of Field Training Officer (FTO) shall be held by a Trooper or Sergeant who most closely meets the requirements set forth by the Employer which are outlined in policy OSP-501.08. If the Employer determines there are an insufficient number of qualified volunteers, it may appoint other individuals to be FTOs. The District Commander shall make the final selections. A supplement of eight hundred dollars ($800.00) shall be given to all FTOs for the sixty (60) working day training period. This amount will be prorated in instances where the training period is cut short or lengthened. Field Training Officers and their trainees will be required to work twenty (20) days on each of the three shifts during the training period.

  • Consider Operator as School Official The Parties agree that Operator is a “school official” under FERPA and has a legitimate educational interest in personally identifiable information from education records. For purposes of the Service Agreement and this DPA, Operator: (1) provides a service or function for which the LEA would otherwise use employees; (2) is under the direct control of the LEA with respect to the use and maintenance of education records; and

  • Contracting Officer The person authorized to administer and make written determinations for the Commonwealth with respect to the Prime Contract. Department – The Department of General Services of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Issuing Office – The department, board, commission or other agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that issued the Procurement. Procurement – The Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotes, Request for Proposals or other solicitation and all associated final procurement documentation issued by the Commonwealth to obtain proposals from firms for award of the Prime Contract.
