Definition/Accrual. Seniority in the District means total accumulated contract service and/or permanent assignment service in this bargaining unit in any of the District schools since the most recent date of appointment. Seniority also accrues while the employee is on professional service leave, and approved military service leave subject to applicable law. Seniority does not accrue while on any other kind of leave.
