Definition of caravan allowance. 24.11.4(a) This clause shall apply to an employee who resides in a caravan (either owned or rented) for the purpose of following the employee’s employment from site to site provided that: the employee has been directed by the employer to reside in the caravan in order to work at the employer’s site; or the employee elects to reside in the caravan because it is impracticable to travel to and from the employer’s site and the employee’s original place of residence.
