Rest periods and crib time. (1) An employee who has worked continuously (except for meal or crib times allowed by this award) for twenty hours shall not be required to continue at or recommence work for at least 12 hours. (2) There shall be allowed, without deduction of pay, a rest period of ten minutes between 9.00a.m. and 11.00a.m. (3) When an employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, he/she shall be allowed to take without deduction of pay, a crib time of 20 minutes in duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work, he/she shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes in duration. In the event of an employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of 20 minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked 20 minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly. For the purpose of this subclause "usual ceasing time" is at the end of ordinary hours inclusive of any time worked for accrual purposes as prescribed in Clause 11(1) - Hours or Clause 16(4) - Shift Work. (4) Where shift work comprises three continuous and consecutive shifts of eight hours per day, a crib time of 20 minutes in duration shall be allowed without deduction of pay in each shift, such crib time being in lieu of any other rest period or cessation of work elsewhere prescribed by this award. (5) The provisions of subclauses (2), (3) and (4) of this clause shall not be applicable to the case of an employee who is allowed the rest periods prescribed in paragraphs (b) and (c) of subclause (1) of Clause 9. - Special Rates and Provisions.
Rest periods and crib time. (a) Employees are entitled to a paid 30 minute morning (or otherwise for shift work) rest break. (i) Employees required to work additional overtime for two hours or more beyond regular scheduled overtime are entitled to a further paid rest break of 20 minutes, and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work a paid crib break of 30 minutes. If an Employee remains at work without taking the crib time of 20 minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, the Employee will be regarded as having worked 20 minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly at the ordinary (all-purpose) hourly rate. (ii) On any 5 hour working day, in lieu of the above there shall be a 15 minute break paid at the applicable overtime rate.

An Employee working overtime on a Saturday, or working on a Sunday, shall be allowed a paid crib time of twenty minutes after four hours work, to be paid for at the ordinary rate of pay but this provision shall not prevent any arrangements being made for the taking of a 30 minute meal period, the time in addition to the paid twenty minutes being without pay.

  • Meal/Rest Periods All nurses shall receive an unpaid meal period of one-half (1/2) hour. Nurses required to remain on duty or in the Hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All nurses shall receive one (1) fifteen

  • Rest Periods All employees shall have two (2), fifteen (15) minute rest periods in each work period in excess of six (6) hours, one (1) rest period to be granted before and one (1) after the meal period. Employees working a shift of three and one-half (3½) hours, but not more than six (6) hours, shall receive one (1) rest period during such a shift. Rest periods shall not begin until one (1) hour after the commencement of work or not later than one (1) hour before either the meal period or the end of the shift. Rest periods shall be taken without loss of pay to the employees.

  • Rest Period During each normal work day, Saturdays, Sundays, and shift work, employees will be entitled to two (2) ten (10) minute paid rest periods to be scheduled and observed. The employee will then be entitled to be absent until they have had 10 consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for rostered ordinary hours occurring during the absence.

  • Interest Periods In connection with each LIBOR Rate Loan, the Borrower, by giving notice at the times described in Section 3.1(a), shall elect an interest period (each, an "Interest Period") to be applicable to such Loan, which Interest Period shall be a period of one (1), two (2), three (3) or six (6) months with respect to each LIBOR Rate Loan; provided that: (i) the Interest Period shall commence on the date of advance of or conversion to any LIBOR Rate Loan or and, in the case of immediately successive Interest Periods, each successive Interest Period shall commence on the date on which the next preceding Interest Period expires; (ii) if any Interest Period would otherwise expire on a day that is not a Business Day, such Interest Period shall expire on the next succeeding Business Day; provided, that if any Interest Period with respect to a LIBOR Rate Loan would otherwise expire on a day that is not a Business Day but is a day of the month after which no further Business Day occurs in such month, such Interest Period shall expire on the next preceding Business Day; (iii) any Interest Period with respect to a LIBOR Rate Loan that begins on the last Business Day of a calendar month (or on a day for which there is no numerically corresponding day in the calendar month at the end of such Interest Period) shall end on the last Business Day of the relevant calendar month at the end of such Interest Period; (iv) no Interest Period shall be permitted to extend beyond the Termination Date; and (v) there shall be no more than five (5) Interest Periods outstanding at any time.

  • Duration of normal Interest Periods Subject to Clauses 6.3 and 6.4, each Interest Period shall be: (a) 3 or 6 months; or (b) such other period (as proposed by the Borrower to the Agent not later than 11:00 a.m. (Hamburg time) 5 Business Days before the commencement of the Interest Period) as the Agent may, with the authorisation of the Majority Lenders, agree with the Borrower (failing which the Interest Period shall be three months).

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods On completion of not less than three hours work after commencement time or on completion of not less than two hours work after the meal break weekly Employees will become entitled to a rest period of ten minutes duration. Such rest period for pay purposes will be treated as time worked.
