DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The Work within this section includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all equipment, labor and materials and performing all operations necessary to excavate, protect and backfill all trenches in accordance with the specifications, applicable drawings and Contract Documents. B. The CONTRACTOR shall perform all excavation of every description and of whatever substance encountered to the depths required, as specified herein. In performing the work as specified in this section, the CONTRACTOR shall conform to the current regulations of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and applicable Federal Regulations for Excavations and Construction. All excavated materials not required for backfill shall be removed and wasted or otherwise disposed of as required or specified. C. Excavation under this contract shall be unclassified, that is the removal of all material of any nature, kind, type or origin will be considered the same and shall be included in the unit pricing as indicated in the Bid Form. 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Referenced standards shall be the following: 1. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT) Publication 408 Specifications and its revisions 2. PENNDOT Publication 203 3. PENNDOT Chapter 459 (Occupancy of Highway by Utility) 4. Certificate of Compliance, PENNDOT Form CS-4171, shall be submitted for all PENNDOT approved aggregates. 5. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)

  • General Description of Work The work under this AGREEMENT shall consist of the above-described SERVICES as herein defined, and necessary to accomplish the completed work for this project. The CONSULTANT shall furnish all services, labor, and related equipment and, if applicable, sub-consultants and subcontractors necessary to conduct and complete the SERVICES as designated elsewhere in this AGREEMENT.

  • Location of Work The Executive shall be based in the United States in West Orange, New Jersey. However, the Executive agrees to undertake whatever domestic and worldwide travel is required by the Company. The Executive shall not be required or permitted to relocate without the mutual, written consent of the Executive and the Company.

  • Task Description This task includes activities associated with permit-required monitoring conducted in accordance with the conditions specified by state or federal regulatory agencies. All monitoring tasks must be located within or adjacent to the Project area and follow the Department’s Regional Coastal Monitoring Program and FWC's marine turtle and shorebird monitoring programs. Guidance for monitoring of nearshore resources is available in the Department's Standard Operation Procedures For Nearshore Hardbottom Monitoring Of Beach Nourishment Projects. The Local Sponsor must submit work products directly to the appropriate state or federal regulatory agencies in accordance with permit conditions to be eligible for reimbursement under this task, unless otherwise directed.
