Common use of Distribution of Overtime Work Clause in Contracts

Distribution of Overtime Work. All overtime work to which overtime pay is applicable shall be distributed as equally as possible among all employees within a reasonable period of time and within the classifications in the divisions affected, provided the employee is capable of performing the work. Employees may request to review logs of overtime offered/charged once per quarter upon seventy-two (72) hours notice to their supervisor. If a non-bargaining unit employee is called in to work, that employee will assess the problem and take appropriate action. If the condition requires work in excess of one hour, a qualified bargaining unit employee will be called in to work.
