District Leads. Per section 3.3, each district agrees to dedicate one district staff member to work exclusively with the WLC Executive Director and WLC Council to help create a solid foundation that represents the intent and spirit of the WLC philosophy. Roles will be in areas specific to the WLC Team’s needs. For the planning year, such roles will be jointly funded by the WLC and the districts. Beyond the planning year, the WLC and districts will work collaboratively to determine the amount of time the district leads will dedicate to the WLC and the mechanism for paying their salaries.

District Leads. The purpose of a district lead is to enhance the communication process, increase shared learning opportunities, and transparency between the district and the teams that the leads serve. A district lead will be selected by the Superintendent (or designee) and the Association President (or designee) in collaboration with principals from nominees submitted by both classified and certificated employees in the applicable programs, as agreed upon in an inter-unit memorandum.
