Drugs & intoxicating substances. The College expects a standard of conduct from its students and staff that provides a safe and healthy environment for themselves and others and prohibits the possession, use or distribution of illicit drugs or unlawful supply of alcohol on its property or as part of any of its activities. Possession and use of any controlled drugs or intoxicating substances is illegal and is a serious disciplinary offence. Please note that most new psychoactive substances (sometimes referred to as “legal highs”), including those that are not yet banned by the Misuse of Drugs Act, are considered to be ‘intoxicating substances’. Use or possession of controlled drugs or intoxicating substances anywhere on college property, or allowing them to be used in your room/halls of residence, will lead to disciplinary action. Similarly, possession of items deemed to constitute drug paraphernalia (including but not limited to items such as grinders and shisha pipes) will lead to disciplinary action. Furthermore, any of the aforementioned offences may result in a referral to the police.

  • Alcohol (a) A worker who returns a negative alcohol test will be allowed to return to work with no record of the test kept. A worker who returns a positive result for alcohol (above 0.00mg/ml) will be deemed not fit work and will not be permitted to return to work;

  • SUBSTANCE ABUSE The dangers and costs that alcohol and other chemical abuses can create in the electrical contracting industry in terms of safety and productivity are significant. Should any of the required minimum standards fail to comply with federal, state, and/or local laws and regulations, they shall be modified by the local union and chapter to meet the requirements of those laws and regulations.

  • Controlled Substances Has current controlled substances registrations issued by the State of Colorado and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, which registrations have not been surrendered, suspended, revoked or restricted in any manner;

  • Narcotics Seniority for vacation purposes shall be determined by continuous service in the department. The employee with the longest continuous service in rank or grade shall prevail in case of ties.
