Your Room. The Department of Residences will assign you a room in one of the Residences in its discretion. The Department of Residences will endeavor to place you in a room according to your preferences, but cannot guarantee that your preferences will be met.
Your Room. 6.1 You will only use the Room for residential dwelling purposes. You acknowledge and agree that you are the only person who may occupy the Room, except where we have agreed to a companion occupancy arrangement and have entered into a specific agreement to reflect such multiple occupancy. This Agreement is intended to be a licence not a lease. You are not a tenant and do not acquire legal property rights by entering into this Agreement or otherwise.
6.2 You will allow our team members to enter the Room in the normal course of their duties.
6.3 All outside agencies will require prior approval from us (such approval not to be unreasonably withheld or delayed) to enter and provide health or other services within your Room.
6.4 We will endeavour not to move you from your Room however, there may be instances where we will require you to change Rooms, for example, where refurbishments to your Room or the Residence are required, your care needs change such that you need a more suitable Room or because of resident relations. We will discuss any proposed change with you and your Responsible Party in advance and will give you an explanation of the reasons for the proposed move. Except in the case of emergencies, we will give you a minimum of twenty eight (28) days’ written notice of any proposed changes.
6.5 Where an increase or decrease in the Total Weekly Fee arises from you changing Room or changing your status in the Room, the increase or decrease shall be recorded as a variation in the form set out in Schedule 4. You will need to pay the increased or decreased Total Weekly Fee from the date on which the increase or decrease will take effect, unless you terminate this Agreement in accordance with clause 13 prior to the date on which the increase or decrease will take effect, in which case the increase or decrease will not be applied.
6.6 You will not alter the Room without prior written consent.
6.7 You will notify us promptly of any defects in the Room, Common Areas or in our equipment, appliances, or fixtures which you become aware of.
Your Room. 3.5.1 You will have sole use of your room and you will have a right to occupy it as long as you comply with the conditions laid out in this agreement. Your right to live in the Home can only be ended under the circumstances detailed in this agreement.
3.5.2 In order to meet your personal care needs or to allow essential maintenance or improvements to be carried out, the Home Manager, in consultation with you and / or your Sponsor may discuss the possibility of a move to another room within the Home. Any such move can only be made with your consent (and you agree that you will not unreasonably withhold such consent). You must allow access to the room for the purpose of providing care or to inspect and carry out necessary works.
3.5.3 Your room is for your sole residential use and cannot be used to take in lodgers or for any other non-residential purpose.
3.5.4 Your residence in the Home does not give you a tenancy or an assured tenancy under the Housing Xxx 0000, neither does it create a relationship of Landlord and Tenant or create or imply any right to security of tenure. You will occupy the room you are allocated as a licensee.
Your Room. 5.1. Occupation of your room
a) From your admission date, where possible, you will be allocated the room chosen by you. We do not grant you exclusive possession of your room and no tenancy, or assured tenancy under the Housing Act 1988, is created by this Resident Contract in respect of your room. This means that you will occupy your room at the Home as a licensee not a tenant. You will not have the ability to exclude us from the room.
b) Though we will endeavour not to move you from your room, there maybe rare and specific reasons where we will require you to change rooms where, for example, refurbishments to your room or the Home are required, your care needs change such that you need a more suitable location or because of resident relations. We will discuss any proposed change with you or your Nominated Representative in advance and will give you an explanation of the reasons for the move. Except in the case of emergencies, we will give you a minimum of fourteen (14) days’ written notice of any proposed changes.
c) If we change your room and if you are not happy with it, you can terminate this Resident Contract by providing at least fourteen (14) days’ written notice to the Home manager.
Your Room. 11.1 You are not allowed to take in lodgers or use the room other than for residential purposes.
11.2 You must keep all items of furniture supplied by us in reasonable condition during your stay.
Your Room a) The House Manager and Xxxxx holds the right to enter any room at any time. An inspection will be done of the whole room weekly.
b) Residents are asked to wash their sheets weekly and always make sure their bottom sheet covers their mattress.
c) Eating meals in the room is prohibited. The designated outdoor eating area is for your enjoyment.
d) Cooking in the room is prohibited.
e) Only tin foods or food kept in sealed containers can be kept in rooms.
f) Taping up a smoke alarm leads to immediate eviction. It is a reportable offence and you will receive a penalty notice.
g) All heaters must be oil heaters, electric blankets and fan heaters are forbidden.
h) Rooms are to be cleaned and vacuumed weekly.
i) Furniture is not to be added to rooms without permission.
j) Urinating in bottles and smoking in a room are cause for immediate eviction.
k) Sugar and electrical appliances such as toaster, kettle, microwave are not permitted in room.
l) No air conditioners.
Your Room. You will be allocated the room specified in Schedule 2. We reserve the right to move you from your allocated room to an alternative room if your needs change and we need to move you to another part of the Home that is better equipped to meet your needs. We do not normally ask you to move from your allocated room unless there is a significant change in your needs. If you are required to move, we will discuss the reasons with you and give you as much notice as possible, no less than 30 days’ notice (save in an emergency).
3.1 Your room is your private space, but staff are entitled to access your room to provide you with services either under your Individual Care Plan or under the terms of this Contract (‘Services’) or to inspect the room. As a matter of courtesy, staff will normally knock and give you reasonable notice before entering; unless they need to enter immediately to provide the Services, or in an emergency.
3.2 We do not share a relationship of landlord and tenant and you cannot gift the room to anyone in your Will.

Further, you agree and acknowledge that your occupation of your room and this Resident Contract do no comprise a Private Residential Tenancy in terms of the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016.This means that you will occupy your room at the Home as a licensee not a tenant. You will not have the ability to exclude us from the room.

Your Room. Housing Services will assign you a room in one of the Residences in its discretion. Housing Services will endeavor to place you in a room according to your preferences but cannot guarantee that your preferences will be met.
Your Room. (“The Accommodation”)
4.1. This Agreement permits you to occupy a furnished room, which we will allocate to you, at Lady Xxxxxxxx Xxxx, (referred to in this agreement as “the College”), Norham Gardens, Oxford, OX2 6QA, or such other room at the College as we may allocate to you.
4.1.1. References to "your room" in this Agreement means the room as occupied by you from time to time, and is not specific to any individual named room.
4.1.2. You do not have exclusive occupation of your room and we are entitled to access to your room at any time although, where possible, we will try to give at least 24 hours' notice.
4.1.3. Your room will be furnished with fixtures, fittings and equipment.
4.1.4. We and/or the College reserve the right to carry out works of demolition, construction, improvement or repair to or on any neighbouring land or our property or that of the College.
4.2. In addition to your room, you are permitted to use the Shared Facilities allocated and linked with that room, with such others as may be living in your household at the College, from time to time: 4.
