Earning, Crediting and Repayment of Vacation Hours. Members shall earn vacation hours based upon a fully completed month (percentage of month) work period in accordance with the earning schedule set forth in Section 4, hereof. On the first day of January following the Member’s initial month of hire, the Member shall be credited with the number of vacation hours earned since the Member’s initial month of hire. This credit of vacation leave will then be available for use by the Member during the calendar year following the Member’s initial month of hire. Beginning on January 1 of the calendar year following the Member’s initial month of hire and continuing through December 31st of that year (and continuing likewise for each calendar year thereafter), the Member will continue to earn vacation leave by completed (or percentage of) monthly work period, and the vacation leave earned during the calendar year will be credited on the following January 1st for use during that calendar year.

  • Reinstatement of Vacation Days - Sick Leave In the event an employee is sick or injured prior to the commencement of his/her vacation, such employee shall be granted sick leave and the vacation period so displaced shall be added to the vacation period if requested by the employee and by mutual agreement, or shall be reinstated for use at a later date.

  • Recall from Vacation Leave When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that he incurs:

  • Call Back From Vacation (a) Employees who have commenced their annual vacation shall not be called back to work, except in cases of extreme emergency. (b) When, during any vacation period, an employee is recalled to duty, he/she shall be reimbursed for all expenses incurred thereby by himself/herself, in proceeding to his/her place of duty and in returning to the place from which he/she was recalled upon resumption of vacation, upon submission of receipts (except for meals) to the Employer. (c) Time necessary for travel in returning to his/her place of duty and returning again to the place from which he/she was recalled shall not be counted against his/her remaining vacation entitlement.

  • Restoration of Vacation Leave In the event an employee is injured or becomes ill while on vacation leave, the employee may submit a written request to use sick leave and have the equivalent amount of vacation leave restored. The supervisor may require a written medical certificate.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits An employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each calendar month during which the employee receives pay for at least ten (10) days at the following rate:

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave For each month of a fiscal year in which an employee receives ten (10) days pay, he shall earn vacation leave at the following rates:

  • Vacation and Sick Leave During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to (a) sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to similarly situated executive officers of the Company from time to time and (b) 4 weeks paid vacation each calendar year (up to 40 hours of which may be carried forward to a succeeding year).

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Scheduling of Vacation Leave In scheduling vacation leave with pay for an employee the Employer shall, subject to the operational requirements of the service, make every reasonable effort to comply with the employee's wishes.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.
