Repayment of Holiday Time. If a member is credited with holiday time and subsequently separates employment with the Township, then all holidays occurring after such separation shall be forfeited without compensation or payment. In the event the member has used all or any portion of such holiday time prior to the member's separation, then the time so used shall be deducted from any other moneys owed the member.

Furthermore, the time so used may be deducted from the member’s wages and/or any other monies owed to the member, and the Township is hereby authorized to automatically make such deduction. If the Township requests, a member shall sign an authorization in favor of the Township further authorizing this deduction.

In the event the member has used or been paid for all or any portion of such time prior to his break in service, then the member shall repay such time to the Township. Payment for this time shall be based upon the member’s regular hourly rate at the time of separation. The amount to be repaid may be deducted from any other monies owed to the member, and each member hereby authorized this deduction and shall, upon request of the Township, sign a proper authorization in favor of the Township reflecting this authorization.

  • List of Holidays a) The Employer recognizes the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Christmas Day Easter Monday Boxing Day Victoria Day Civic Holiday (deferred to Christmas Shutdown) Canada Day Plus, any other day(s) declared or proclaimed as a Statutory Holiday by the Federal or Provincial Government. The Employer shall post a list no later than December 15th of each year stating on which day the Civic Holiday and any other deferred holiday will be observed.

  • Number of Holidays (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) There shall be twelve (12) holidays and these holidays are set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. Should the Hospital be required to observe an additional paid holiday as a result of legislation, it is understood that one of the existing holidays recognized by the Hospital shall be established as the legislated holiday after discussion with the Union, so that the Hospital's obligation to provide the number of paid holidays as noted above remains unchanged.

For the purpose of this Section, Sunday shall be deemed to be the twenty-four (24) hours beginning with the shift change hour nearest to 12:01 a.m.
