Common use of EDUCATIONAL AWARDS Clause in Contracts

EDUCATIONAL AWARDS. 7.01 The Board will pay actual tuition costs for no more than one thousand six hundred dollars ($1,600.00) per school year for courses satisfactorily completed. Courses must be either: a) approved by the Superintendent; or b) university courses. Teachers on maternity leave or parental or adoption leave under Article 14, or deferred salary leave under Article 12 shall be entitled to reimbursement under Article 7.01, upon their return from leave. 7.02 Teachers who successfully complete religion courses, as approved by the Superintendent, shall be entitled to $1,000.00 in addition to any funds available under Article 7.01.
