Educational Conference. (a) The Trustees are hereby empowered to obtain membership, in the name of the Fund, in a recognized organization established for the education and training of Trustees and Fund personnel, may authorize one or more of the Board of Trustees, the Administrator, or Fund personnel to attend such organization's educational conferences, and may authorize the payment by the Fund of the reasonable expenses actually incurred by said Trustee, Administrator, or Fund personnel in attending said educational conferences.

Educational Conference. The Employer agrees to schedule up to one (1) Shop Xxxxxxx per location, designated by the Union, a day off, to be paid by the Union at the employee's straight- time rate, to attend an annual education meeting. The parties agree that such time shall not be considered time worked for the purpose of overtime, benefit contributions or other incidents of "time worked". The Union must give the Employer two (2) weeks' advance notice of said meeting.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. Requests for attendance are submitted through the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor, and forwarded to the President/Superintendent for approval at his/her sole discretion. A follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE Section 1. Upon written request by either Party, a pre-job conference will be held prior to the time the Employees of such Employer begin work on the project.

  • Pre-Job Conferences a) The Employer will notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference will be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties.

  • Special Conference 21.01 There will be established under this Article a closed forum, hereinafter called "Special Conference". It is understood by the Parties that the Special Conferences are not to be construed or utilized as a grievance hearing. It is not to be considered as negotiations.

  • Informal Conference Prior to the filing of a grievance, in an effort to resolve the issue(s), the grievant shall make reasonable attempts to initiate / discuss or an attempt to initiate / discuss the issue(s) informally with the grievant’s Principal or Supervisor.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable.

  • Evaluation Conference The final evaluation conference shall occur not later than the end of the fall term. The purpose of the final evaluation conference is to discuss with the probationary employee the results of the evaluation and announce the team's recommendation. The evaluation team shall determine what additional evaluation activity shall occur during the spring term. If the team recommends that the District not employ the professor for the following year, no evaluation activities in the spring are necessary.

  • PRE-BID CONFERENCE A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, @ 2:00 PM, located at W220 Pre-con Conference Room, 0000 Xxxxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxx (Xxxx Xxxxxxxxx) Xxxxxxx, XX 00000. Attendance is not mandatory but is encouraged.

  • Attendance at Conferences and Conventions (a) The parties to this Agreement recognize that attendance or participation at conferences, conventions, symposia, workshops and other gatherings of a similar nature contributes to the maintenance of high professional standards.
